~Day 300~
Months had passed since the farm, a place that they've been able to call home. During those months, everyone's focus was on one person, Lori Grimes.
Hershel worked with Carol and Rebecca to ensure the best care for Lori whilst the group tried to find a secure place, somewhere for Lori to have her baby. That was their primary focus, seeing as she was days away from giving birth.
Hershel had taught Carol and Rebecca all the necessary steps and tools to use if Lori was ever to give birth if Hershel wasn't with them or put to simple...if he was dead. But he was still alive, much to Rebecca's relief as she didn't want to be the one to deliver Lori's baby by herself.
Rebecca was currently with Lori, hiding in the bushes along with Carol, Beth and Hershel as they waited for Rick, Carl, Daryl, T-Dog, Glenn and Maggie to clear the abandoned house that they had come across.
Rebecca heard a whistling sound, signaling that it was safe to come in. Rebecca helped Lori up from the ground and wrapped her arm around her waist while Lori held on to her hand. Slowly, the two made it to the house, Rebecca helping her inside.
Lori gave her a husband a small smile but Rick ignored her as he continued looking outside, making sure that there wasn't a threat following them.
Rebecca helped Lori walk through the house, and into a large and open room which was big enough for the entire group to hold up in for a while.
Rebecca and Carol helped Lori sit down on the ground. Carol sat next to her while Rebecca saw Daryl and walked over to him. She saw that he had a dead owl in his hands. The two exchanged small but genuine smiles. The two have grown a bit closer than before since informing the group of their relationship.
She sat down next to him, rubbing her hands, even though she wasn't cold since it was spring time. Meanwhile, Daryl began plucking away the owl's feathers from its lifeless body.
Rebecca's stomach grumble as she couldn't wait to eat the owl for dinner, considering the fact that it has been days since they last had a proper meal.
All of a sudden, a small but heavy patter of steps echoed through the room and Rebecca's eyes drifted from Daryl to Carl, who had just ran into the room. He sits down on the ground and takes out two tin cans, placing them on the floor before pulling out a can opener.
Seeing the two tin cans gave Rebecca a bit of hope that they were able to eat good again but she frowned once she saw that it was dog food.
Sighing, she watched Carl open the first can. The sight of the dog food made everyone sick to their stomachs as they truly didn't want to eat that, even though they were starving.
Catching the sight of his son opening the cans, Rick walked over to Carl and picked up the open can of dog food. Grasping it in his hand, he let out a frustrated sigh before throwing the can into an empty fireplace. Rebecca and Daryl flinch at the sudden action as everyone else did too.
It was silent for a moment. There was no denying how hard life on the road had become for the group. It started off easy, but days turned into weeks...and weeks turned into months.
The sound of a faint whisper pulled Rebecca out of her thoughts as she looked towards the window to see T-Dog, standing there, nodding his head.
Rebecca could see that there were a few walkers approaching the house. The group immediately stood up and hurried out of the house.
Rebecca followed after Daryl as the two hopped on to his motorcycle while everyone went towards the car. They all took off, getting back on the road once again.
