~Day 111~

It has been a month since Rick's group had lost the farm due to a herd of walkers. Since that day, they had constantly been on the run, moving house-to-house. The autumn season was beginning to end which meant that winter was coming and the group needed to find a permanent home to hold up in until winter was over.

Luckily, while Rebecca and Glenn were out on a run together, they had found a storage unit and immediately ran back to the group to inform them of the news.

Now everyone from the group, all eleven of them were holed up in a unit together as they got ready to settle down for the night. Rick and Lori were off in one corner of the unit, arguing quietly as the group looked on.

Things have been tense between Rick and Lori ever since that day they lost the farm because Rick had been keeping secrets from the group. One was being that they were all infected and the other being that he was the one that had killed Shane, his own best friend.

"Is it even my baby?!"

The group's eyes widened as they saw Rick pointing at Lori's stomach, his teeth clenched his anger. "If it's not, I'm still going to love it like it's my own, you know that Lori." Rick hissed. He and Lori were fighting over the possibility of who the father of the baby was and Rick knew in his heart that the baby was Shane.

Daryl cleared his throat as Rick and Lori glanced over at the group were watching them like hawks. Lori covered her mouth and began to sob quietly, her hormones acting up while Rick just stared back at his group.

It was eerily quiet as no one knew what to say about the revelation they had heard Rick say. Rick decided to take this opportunity to leave the storage unit to go stand on watch. He grabbed his python and left the unit, everyone's eyes following him until he was out of their sight.

They all turned to Lori who managed to make herself stop crying. She walked over to them and sat down next to Carol who wrapped her arms around her.

"...so Shane's the father?" Beth asked as Rebecca looked over to her and shook her head. "Now's not the time," she whispered to her making Beth frown. Rebecca looked over at Lori. "It's none of our business, you know."

Lori nodded as she let a breath loose. "Shane and I..." she began making the group lean in as they listen intensely. "We got together after Atlanta fell," Lori admitted making Rebecca's eyes widened as along with the group. Some of them had suspected that Shane loved Lori but they didn't think the two got together. "I know what some of you are thinking...but I thought Rick was dead," she said sniffling as she looked over to Carl who was sound asleep on the floor in the corner.

"I don't know if Shane is the father because when Rick came back that day at the Quarry..." Lori trailed off as the group understood what she meant. They were silence once again.

"...I'm gonna go take a piss," Daryl muttered as Rebecca laughed quietly thinking back to the farm when he had said that to Rick when she had come to talk to him about Carl. Daryl got up and walked out of the unit.

The group started getting ready to sleep when Rick came back, this time with Daryl.

"...I've been doing some thinking," he began as everyone looked up at him. "No more secrets." he told them as he surveyed the room. "If anybody is hiding anything, speak up now that way it won't come bite us in the ass later."

Rebecca glanced over at Daryl who began biting at his thumbnail. The two did have a secret, one that they shared which was the fact that they were together. They had meant to tell the group eventually back on the farm but that was before everything went to hell.

Daryl met Rebecca's eyes as he could see the doubt in them. He really didn't want the group to know about the two of them, not because he was ashamed of being with her but because it really was no one's business as to who was with whom. But then again, he knew that Rick was having a hard time going through all the lies and secrets that he, Lori and Shane were keeping from the group.

He nodded to Rebecca, telling her that it was okay.

"Nothing?" Rick asked the group as they shook their heads no. "Alright, let's-" "Actually," Rebecca said standing up, surprising everyone including Glenn. "I have something to share," she said but before she could say anymore, a voice spoke out.

"No, we have something to share."

Rebecca and everyone looked over, surprised at Daryl. He walked over to Rebecca and stood next to her. "We're together," he muttered as everyone looked somewhat surprised mixed in with happiness.

"I knew it!" Glenn exclaimed turning to Maggie who had a small smile on her face. "Didn't I tell you?" he asked her making her nod.

Rick shuffled his feet and placed his hands on his hips as he stared at Daryl and Rebecca who stood before him, waiting for him to say anything. He ended up giving them a faint smile. "As long as you two are happy," he said softly making Rebecca smile back at him. "We are," she said making Daryl nod.

Rick nodded. "That's good," he said before stepping closer to the pair. "I'm really glad you told me," he said patting their shoulders before walking out of the unit again.

"I'm gonna go with him you know to help him on watch," Daryl said making Rebecca nod. Daryl took a hold of her hand and squeezed it before letting go and leaving the unit.

Rebecca sat back down on the ground and took off her jacket. She bundled it up into a ball and lied her head on top of it as she tried to get comfortable on the hard ground. She felt someone lie down next to her and she turned her head to the left to see that it was Glenn.

"Go ahead and say it," Rebecca said making Glenn smirk. "I told you so," he said making her roll her eyes playfully while hitting his right arm making him chuckle. Rebecca joined in as the two best friends were laughing quietly as they didn't want to wake the rest of their group up.

The two stopped as they looked into each other eyes. "He's good for you, Becca. I hope you know that," Glenn said making her softly smile. "I know." she said as he held her hand out. Rebecca took his hand into hers as they did their secret handshake they have done since they were children.

The handshake ended with a thumb wrestle as the two laughed quietly again before drifting off into darkness.
