~Day 18~

"Becca! Come on!" Glenn yelled as he fired his gun once again at the geeks who walked towards him.

"I'm coming, okay!" She yelled back as she shot an arrow from her crossbow. She watched the arrow fly through the air and into a geek's head. She ran over to the dead geek and yanked the arrow out of its skull.

The duo ran down an alleyway and came out on the other side. Glenn stopped abruptly, making Rebecca collide into his back. "Why'd you stop?!" Rebecca frantically asked as she looked behind her as she saw that the geeks were getting closer.

"That's why."

Rebecca turned her head in time to see a car stop right in front of them. An African American man stuck his head out the window. "Get in!" he yelled at them.

"Come on Becca, let's go!" Glenn opened the car door and ushered Rebecca into the backseat before getting in himself. He closed the door and the African American man wasted no time driving away from the geeks.

Rebecca and Glenn both looked out the back windows as they watched the Atlanta skyline and the walkers get smaller.

"You two okay?" The man asked, drawing their attention away from the window. Glenn let out a heavy breath, now that he and Rebecca were safe. "Yeah, we're okay." "Thank you for saving us back there," Rebecca thanked the man. The man shook his head, "You two would have done the same for me."

"What is your name?" Rebecca asked.

"T-Dog."

"T-Dog?" Rebecca asked as she looked at Glenn who just shrugged his shoulders. T-Dog nodded. "Yep. The name is T-Dog." Rebecca gave a small smile at the man. "Nice to meet you T-Dog. I am Rebecca Parker." Glenn raised his hand, "Glenn Rhee."

"Cool."

There was an awkward silence between the three until T-Dog spoke up again, asking the pair a question they have heard their entire lives.

"So...are you two a couple?" T-Dog asked as his eyebrow rose up slightly.

Glenn and Rebecca both shook their heads. "No, we're not," they said in unison. "We are just close friends," said Rebecca. "We have known each other since we were in diapers." Glenn looked over at Rebecca and gave a small smile at her, "We're practically family." Rebecca smiled back, "Yeah...we are family."

That was the truth. Glenn and Rebecca may not be related by blood but the two did consider them each other as family since their parents were friends in high school and their moms had fallen pregnant with them around the same time as well. This made Glenn and Rebecca to be lifelong friends.

But when Rebecca's mother, Julia, died when she was a young girl, her and Ben both thought that the Rhee family would distance themselves from the Parkers but they did not. Together they grieve other the loss of Julia Parker and their love for one another grew stronger.

Rebecca snapped out of her thoughts when T-Dog spoke, "Let me tell you something...it's nice to have a friend you know in this messed up world."

Rebecca and Glenn looked at each other with a soft smile as Glenn playfully nudged his shoulder with hers. Rolling her eyes playfully, she nudged him back, the two letting out a light laugh.

An hour later, Glen and Rebecca shared a knowing look as they looked towards T-Dog again.

"So, um...where are you taking us?" Rebecca asked him. "Oh, sorry, I forgot to tell you where we were going," T-Dog let out a chuckle. "I have a camp at a Quarry."

Glenn sat up straighter, "A camp? There's others out there just like us?" T-Dog nodded, "Yeah, man. But don't worry, the people there are good." T-Dog made a left turn and slow down before completely stopping and putting the car into park. He turned around in his seat, "Here we are."

T-Dog then pushed his car door open as Glenn did the same. He got out first before holding the door open for Rebecca who got out after him.

The three were then immediately met with a group of survivors. A young man walked up to them. "T-Dog, who are they?"

"This is Rebecca and that is Glenn." T-Dog said as he pointed to Rebecca and then at Glenn. The man eyed Glenn first before looking Rebecca over. Once his eye settled over a white bandage, he immediately withdrew his gun out and aimed it at her.

Without hesitation, Glenn immediately pushed Rebecca behind him and drew his gun out at the man.

"Shane!" A woman cried out as she stomped up to him. "What are you doing?" The woman tried to lower Shane's arm down but he resisted. "Mom, what's happening?"

Rebecca looked down and saw a young boy standing by the woman who was trying to get Shane to lower his gun down. Shane glared over at T-Dog, "Why didn't you notice that she has been bitten?"

"What?!" The group exclaimed as they looked over at Rebecca who at the moment began to feel self-conscious." T-Dog raised his hand up, "Man, where has she been bitten?" Shane scoffed, "Her arm, T-Dog. Do you not see the bloody bandage wrapped around it?"

T-Dog glanced over at Rebecca and stepped back once he noticed the now bloody bandage. Rebecca's eyes glazed over the bandage. It was now bleeding again. The wound must have opened up again when she and Glenn were trying to escape from the geeks.

"She wasn't bitten!"

Rebecca tore her eyes away from the bandage and up at Glenn who still had his gun raised at Shane. "Then why is her arm all bandaged up?" he asked Glenn. Glenn opened his mouth to speak but was bumped off to the side lightly by Rebecca.

She stood in front of Shane, clearly not intimated by the gun he was holding. "I got glass in my arm from the explosion that happened back in Atlanta." The women in the group covered their mouth in shock.

"Here look," Rebecca said as she began to unroll the bloody bandage and showed the group the wound she had. "See? No bite marks?"

Shane's eyes trailed her arm until it settled down on the wound. He then lowered his gun as Glenn did the same. "I'm sorry, ma'am. I was just looking out for my group." Rebecca nodded in understanding, if the roles were reversed; she would have done the same thing.

Shane scratched the back of his neck. "So you two were really in the bombing?" Rebecca nodded as she wrapped the bandage up over her arm. Glenn pointed at T-Dog, "He saved our assess today from the Geeks."

"He did?" a child's voice chimed out.

Rebecca looked down and saw the younger boy that was by the woman's side, now next to Shane. Rebecca nodded and looked over at T-Dog, "He sure did." A grin broke out on the child's face, "Cool!" Rebecca chuckled at the boy's enthusiasm.

Glenn shuffled on his feet, "So...could Rebecca and I join your group?"

"Well-"

"Shane," An older man spoke as he walked up to him. He whispered into Shane's ear. Shane gave the old man a brief nod before looking up at Glenn and Rebecca.

"Welcome to the group."
