~Day 71~

All afternoon, Rebecca had kept Carl busy by playing their usual games, such as tic-tac-toe and go-fish. They played all day along until it was time for dinner which Carl helped set the table for, along with Rebecca.

T-Dog was sitting down at the table, drinking a glass of water when Andrea and Shane came in.

"They should've been back by now," Andrea stated as she sat down. Shane nodded. "Yeah. They just got holed up somewhere," he sat down at the head of the table as Patricia placed some food onto the table. "We'll head out first thing in the morning."

Shane thanked Patricia for the food as Carol came around and placed a basket of rolls onto the table. Shane looked over at Carl who was sitting in between T-Dog and Rebecca.

"Carl," he said making Carl look up at him. "I want you to keep your head up, okay? Your old man, he's the toughest son of a-" "No cussing in the house," Patricia scolded Shane.

"Sorry," he apologized. Rebecca stifled back a laugh as she grabbed two rolls. One for herself and one for Carl who thanked her. She smiled in response before ruffling his hair.

"Lori, dinner." Carol called out.

"She's not in there," Maggie informed Carol.

"Where is she?" Dale asked. Maggie didn't answer, she simply looked over at Rebecca who kept her head down at her plate.

Shane looked over at Carl, determined to get some answers. "Carl, when's the last time you saw your mom?" "This afternoon," he replied.

"Becca," Maggie pleaded as Shane looked at Rebecca. She looked up from her plate to see that everyone was already looking at her, waiting for her answer. Rebecca let out a sigh. "She was worried about Rick, asked me to look in on Carl," she said quickly. "She went after them?" Dale asked her. Rebecca nodded. "Yes."

Everyone immediately jumped out of their chairs.

"Nobody panic," Shane ordered. "Gonna be around here somewhere." Shane immediately left the kitchen, the group following after him while the Greene family stood still in the kitchen, unsure what to do.

Carol looked for Daryl everywhere at their campsite. She let out a frustrating sigh before seeing Daryl in the distance, building a campfire. She quickly stomped over towards him. "We can't find Lori and the others aren't back yet either," she informed him as she approached him.

Daryl scoffed as he held a stick in his hand, using it to poke at the logs to make the fire bigger. "Yeah. The dumb bitch must've gone off looking for 'em."

Carol's eyes widened at Daryl's words. "What?" she asked him. "Yeah, she asked me to go. I told her I was done being an errand boy." Carol shook her head. "And you didn't say anything?" Daryl didn't reply.

Shaking her head once again, Carol walked off but paused as she saw that Daryl's tent was now over here instead of back at their campsite. She turned around and marched over to him. "Don't do this," she pleaded. "Please. I've already lost my girl."

Huffing, Daryl stood up and faced Carol. "That wasn't my problem neither," he said, throwing his stick to the ground before heading off into his tent, leaving Carol all alone in the dark.

Meanwhile over at the campsite, Rebecca stood with Carl by her side, along with Andrea and Dale who were waiting for Shane and T-Dog to report back on Lori's whereabouts.

"She's not at the barn," Shane told them as he walked up to them. "I checked the yards," said T-Dog. "Well, where is she?" Carl asked them. "She asked Daryl to go into town. Must've gone herself." Carol said breathless.
