~Day 0~
The gentle air was tolerantly humid; the glistening stars a delightful backdrop on the deep, dark blue sky.
Down on the ground below, a man and a woman who had been best friends since their childhood sighed blissfully as the wind blew gently on them, cooling their bodies down from the heat.
"Becca,"
Rebecca looked over at her best friend, Glenn Rhee. "Please tell me that these two pizzas are our last order of the night." he said, looking at the pizza boxes that she held in her hands.
Rebecca laughed. "This is our last order of the night," she assured him as she watched a grin break out on Glenn's face. "Thank God," he mumbled.
The pair stopped in front of an apartment building and stood by the doors. "This is the address," Rebecca said before looking over at Glenn. "Buzz us in."
"Why do I have to buzz us in?" Glenn asked as Rebecca rolled her eyes. "Because my hands are full," she lifted them up as she showed him the pizza boxes.
Glenn sighed as he pushed the intercom button of the apartment building. The manager buzzed them in and the pair walked in and made their way toward the elevator.
Six floors later, Glenn and Rebecca walked down the hallway, and stood in front of a door, marked '6B'. Glenn knocked on the door. "Pizza delivery!" There was no answer so Glenn knocked again.
A door opened, but it wasn't the one in front of them. Glenn and Rebecca turned around to see an elderly woman, in a bathrobe, standing behind them.
"Would you two teenagers keep that ruckus down?" she hissed at them before walking back into her apartment. "Geez Louise," she mumbled before slamming her door shut.
Glenn and Rebecca eyed each other before letting out a laugh. "Teenagers?" Glenn asked as Rebecca shook her head. "Who even says Ruckus anymore?" she asked as Glenn shrugged.
The door in front of the pair finally opened. A man in his mid-thirty stood before them, coughing and blowing his nose into a snotty tissue.
Rebecca grimaced while she handed the sick man the pizza boxes. "That will be $16.36."
"Here is-" The man hacked loudly as he took the money out and handed it to Glenn who grimaced when he took the crumbled up bills. The sick man cleared his throat. "Here is the money," his voice cracking as he spoke.
"Hope you feel better, sir," Rebecca smiled sweetly at the man. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," the man grumbled before looking up at Rebecca. "And wipe that stupid smile off your face. You're not getting a tip," he said before slamming the door shut in their faces.
Rebecca scoffed, "What is with the people in this building?" she asked Glenn as the two headed towards the elevator. Glenn shrugged, "I don't know but I'm glad we didn't move in here." Rebecca nodded her head in agreement.

"Remind me again, why I am giving you a piggy back ride?" Glenn asked as he hoisted Rebecca up higher on his back as he made his way to their apartment.
"You pushed me into a puddle earlier, that's why."
Glenn laughed and Rebecca slapped his chest with her hand. "Oh yeah, now that was amusing." Rebecca rolled her eyes, "I'm glad you enjoyed the show then." Glenn stopped in front of their apartment. Rebecca jumped off his back while Glenn took out his key and opened the door.
Rebecca walked in and belly flopped onto the couch, sighing deeply into the pillows. She then let out a huff when she felt someone sit down on her back.
