Chapter 30

       [VANESSA'S POV]
I've been working everyday trying to finish my scenes because I missed two days of work. We were working longer than usual every night. I guess it's because it was the musical episode and we still had to go to rehearsals. I had just drove Madelaine and I home, and we were getting ready for bed.

Madelaine has been talking to her aunt trying to reach out to her parents. It took a lot of convincing to her aunt considering what she took Madelaine away from. Later today we are going to call her parents to see if they want to see her.

I climb into the bed while Madelaine does the same. She cuddles into my side and holds me tightly. "You okay, babe?" I ask. She shakes her head. "What if they still hate me? What if they don't want to see me?" Madelaine asks nervously. "If they don't accept, and love you for who you are then you don't need them. You can do so much better than having a family that doesn't support you." I say. "I've spent my whole life disappointing them. I just want to do something right for once." Madelaine says. "It's going to be okay. I'm here if anything happens. I'll be here for you." I say kissing her head. She nods. "I love you." Madelaine says into my neck. "I love you, too." I say.

I wake up to Madelaine shaking me. "Baby, get up!" Madelaine says anxiously. I sit up quickly. "I'm up. Are you okay? What's wrong?" I ask worriedly. Instead of answering Madelaine sits in my lap. "They want to see me." She says. "What?" I ask. "My parents. They want to see me." Madelaine smiles. I was angry to say the least. I didn't want them anywhere near her but I'm going to be with her, so I guess I feel a little better.

"When?" I ask. "Tomorrow." Madelaine says. "So, I'm guessing we need to fly there today." I say. She nods. "Okay, how long are we staying?" I ask. She shrugs her shoulders. "Depends on how they react." She mumbles. I kiss her forehead softly. "Everything will be okay." I reassure. "I hope so." She smiles.

"Go ahead and pack. I will figure out the flight situation." I say. She nods and leaves the room. I go to grab her laptop and I sit on the bed with it. I go online and get us plane tickets. Madelaine comes into the room with two suitcases. I reserve us a room at the best hotel I could find. I look to Madelaine, and see her packing her clothes into both the suitcases. "What are you doing, babe?" I ask. "Packing our clothes." She says. "Well actually you are just packing your clothes." I say. "That's because all you wear are my clothes." Madelaine laughs. I laugh and get off the bed.

   "Okay I got everything sorted out." I say. Madelaine nods. "Thank you." She says. I kiss her lips softly. "Are we taking Yoshi, or do you want him to stay with Travis or something?" I ask. She shrugs. "I did buy him a car seat. We might as well take him." Madelaine giggles. "Okay, let me pack his bag then." I say. I go to Yoshi's bag. I pack a few shirts and jackets. I pack him boots for him to wear. He's not really a playful dog, so he doesn't have any toys I need to pack. I finish packing his bag, and Madelaine finishes packing ours.

   I grab all of the bags and take them to the car. I set them in the trunk. Madelaine grabs Yoshi's food and bowls. She puts them inside the storage of his car seat. I go inside and get Yoshi and the rest of our things. I set Yoshi in his car seat. He immediately lays down, and curls into a ball. I smile at that, and place our things next to him.

"Are you ready, babe?" I ask. Madelaine nods her head. She gets into the passenger seat while I get in the drivers. Madelaine grabs my hand and interlaces our fingers. I kiss her hand, and begin to drive us to the airport.

Once we get to the airport I grab all of our bags while Madelaine grabs Yoshi along with his car seat. I get our tickets, and walk to Madelaine who was waiting patiently elsewhere. I find Madelaine and sit beside her. I look at the time. We should board the plane in about thirty minutes. I wait patiently with Madelaine's hand in mine.
