[VANESSA'S POV]
Today is the day before our one month anniversary. Madelaine said she got me something for our anniversary. She told me I didn't need to get her anything but I really want to. I would feel bad if she got me something, and she didn't get anything.

I was thinking about a diamond ring. I know she loves our promise rings but she deserves something bigger, and better. I want her to have the best ring possible.

Madelaine is still asleep, and it's still early. So I should have enough time to look at some. I get up to get Madelaine's laptop. I open it, and search for diamond rings.

I'm looking at images, and I see the most beautiful ring. I look to see where it's from. It's from a store called Ritani. I remember seeing a Ritani store here. I smile excitedly. Considering it's diamond, I would imagine it's expensive. I look at the price. $21,200. Holy fuck.

How am I supposed to come up with that type of money? I look at Madelaine. She looks so peaceful, and beautiful. I'd pay any amount of money to see a smile on Madelaine's face.

I remember about a savings account I have. It has about a hundred thousand dollars in it. I could go to get money out of it later.

I exit out of the website, and close the computer. I look at the time to see it's almost seven. "Baby," I say. Madelaine doesn't move, so I start to rub her back. She starts to smile. "Nessa," She smiles.

"Wake up, babe. Let's go get breakfast." I suggest. "Okay." She smiles. She continues to lay down, and smile at me. "You know, we got to get up to get breakfast." I laugh. She nods sitting up.

"What do you want?" I ask sitting up beside her. "I just want to stay in, and cook with you." Madelaine says wrapping her arms around me tightly. "Okay, baby. We can do that." I say kissing her head.

Madelaine gets out of bed while I do the same. I grab my phone sticking it in my shorts pocket. "What do you want to cook?" I ask, as we walk down the hallway to the kitchen. "I want pancakes." Madelaine says excitedly. "Then lets make you some pancakes." I giggle.

We get to the kitchen, and Madelaine gets the mix out of the fridge. I get the pan, and set it on the stove. "Can I make the pancakes?" Madelaine asks childishly. "Of course you can." I say.

Madelaine makes the mix while I turn on the stove. "Okay, what do you want me to do?" I ask. "I want you to sit, and look gorgeous while I make you breakfast." Madelaine smiles. "Babe, you don't have to make it all on your own." I say. "I want to." Madelaine says.

"Now," She says grabbing my hands. "Sit down," Madelaine says taking me to a stool at the island. She lifts me up sitting me on the stool. "And look gorgeous." She smiles poking my nose. I smile and scrunch my nose.

She walks to the stove making me stare at her backside. I watch her attentively. She looks so beautiful. Her hair messily flowing down her back. Her tall petite figure. She's only wearing a bra and matching brief panties, so I could see her beautiful skin.

Madelaine turns around to grab something. I see her three scars. I could feel my heart ache just by the sight. "Babe?" I ask. "Hm?" Madelaine hums continuing to make pancakes. "I love you." I say. "I love you, too." Madelaine says. She places a pancake on a plate, and turns around to face me again.

"Are you okay, baby?" She asks. "Yeah, I just really love you. You know that, right?" I ask. I've always felt guilty about Madelaine doing that to herself. She told me it's not my fault but a part of me will always blame myself. I should have been there for her.

"Of course I know that. You tell me everyday." She smiles. "Okay, I just want to make sure you know that." I say. Madelaine comes up to me with her eyebrows furrowed. "What's wrong?" She asks. I couldn't help but stare at her scars. I trace them softly. "Nessa?" Madelaine asks.
