Chapter 17 - Hiccup's POV

"Take the girl." Viggo ordered and nodded towards us. Two huge hunters walked to us. I held her behind me hard. Nothing would separate us again, Nothing. The men stood in front of us waiting for me to get out of their way.
"You'll never get her." I said angrily but the biggest man slapped me over the face so I flew out of the way. They took Astrid in her arm and started to drag her to Viggo.
"Astrid!" I screamed
"Hiccup!" She screamed back
I threw myself towards her but the door to the cell closed just before I came there. I tried to reach to her between the bars but I couldn't.
"Astrid! No!"
"Viggo what are you doing?" I yelled
"What I should've done a long time ago, eliminate all my enemies. You're the last one Hiccup." He explained calmly like he was just talking over a friendly dinner or something.
"Then why do you hurt Astrid and not me?!?" I yelled
"Because I have learned something over the years. No matter how much I hurt you, you always comes back. But the physical pain is nothing against the pain of losing someone you love. Losing the love of your life...Well if anything's gonna stop you it's that." He explained. The hunters forced Astrid to stand in front of Viggo. She fought them but they were too strong and she too weak after being a prisoner.
"It's nothing personal Hiccup. I don't hate you or your girlfriend, quite the opposite actually, I admire you. It's just that you're standing in my way and I can't allow that."
"Please don't hurt her! I'll do anything you want!" I yelled desperately. I couldn't lose her now. Not when I just got her back.
"No Hiccup! Don't do it!" Astrid yelled back
"I'm sorry Hiccup. I wished that I could trust you but your will to help dragons will make you fail your promise." Viggo shrugged
"Please..." I pleaded
"It's just business. Do it." He commanded a hunter. A third hunter walked towards her.
"Are you sure sir?" The hunter asked
"Yes do it."
"but...but... it's..."
"Do I have to do it all by myself!?!" He sighed and took a knife of dragon proof iron with jewels on it and stabbed Astrid in the stomach.
"NO!!" I screamed as she fell to the floor. She held her hand against the wound but read liquid colored her shirt and the floor red.
"Astrid!" Screamed both Heather and Fishlegs together.
"ASTRID!" I screamed louder than anyone else had ever screamed.
"hi...hiccup..." she tried weakly but couldn't finish the sentence
"...i...i...love...you." she stuttered out and became motionless.
"NO! ASTRID! Come back! Come back!!" I kept screaming even though I knew that it was worthless. She was gone. My Astrid.
"Throw her in the ocean." Viggo ordered and the hunters started to drag her body away from me.
"No Viggo!! NO!" I yelled.
"ASTRID!! ASTRID!!!" I kept screaming as they dragged her out of sight.
"Told you that you should've rescued her earlier." Viggo said and left.
"ASTRID!!"
