Everything felt to good to be true right now. I was home with my mom and dad reunited. The riders was together and happy. I had Toothless. And of all I had Astrid back. The love of my life was back and I never wanted to lose her again.
I had met her parents again and they didn't hate me, thank the gods, and at the big feast her dad took me aside and talked to me. Now I had a feeling of determination and pure joy.

Tonight I had my first date with Astrid since we got her back. I had it all planned out. I just hoped nothing would go wrong. I would take her to a picnic under the stars and then... well, let's just say that I was very nervous.

The clock was about seven or so and the sun was just about to be replaced by the moon. I landed with Toothless outside her cabin. I walked up to the door and knocked. I heard distant footsteps from inside then the door opened and she stood there more beautiful than ever. She had her ordinary clothes except for a necklace I had given her when we had just started dating. I reached out and touched the necklace.
"You still have it." I stated
"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" She asked
"It just feel like an eternity since I gave it to you." I said
"It's still beautiful." She said
"You're right, as always." I said with love in my eyes
"Are you ready?" I asked
"Let's go." She answered and we got up on Toothless.

We flied over the clouds over a beautiful view but all I could think of was her and of how lucky I was to have her.

Toothless landed on a edge of the island where the land stopped in a steep with the ocean under it and the beautiful sunset over it. I had already fixed the picnic so it was ready when we came there.
"Hiccup it's beautiful." She sighed amazed
"Only the best for you." I answered and held her hand as I led her to the food.
We sat down, ate and talked for about a hour. When the only food left was the strawberries I had brought for dessert I decided that it was time. Nervous and a little shaky I looked at Astrid who gazed out at the stars. Her beautiful blue eyes. Her beautiful self.
"Astrid?" I asked to get her attention
"Yes?" She answered
"I need to tell you something."
"Okay." She said and laid a hand over mine. The small but loving gesture gave me the strength.
"I have loved you for as long as I can remember. Before we got together I didn't think I could even love someone as much as I did then and now I love you even more. Your laugh, your cry, your beautiful personality and your strength. I have always depended on you in every situation and I have loved you in them all. Words isn't enough to describe how I feel. So I will try every day of my life to show you, if you'll let me. Astrid Hofferson, I want to spend all my moments with you. Will you marry me?"
She looked at me without a word. A single tear rolled down her cheek then she threw herself into my arms and kissed me.
"Of course." She said full of joy when we broke apart. I couldn't resist kissing her again passionately.
We cuddled under the stars and I wished that this moment would go on forever.
