Everything around me was incredibly beautiful, from the altar I stood at to the rows of chairs where everyone on berk and more sat. It was more amazing than I had ever been able to imagine. Everyone stood up as Heather, Ruffnut and Mom took their seats. Then she entered. Suddenly the room seemed grey in comparison to her. They had put a crown of flowers identical to mine on her head. Her dress and hair flowed when she walked down the aisle to me. I felt how a wide grin spread on my lips.
When she finally reached me I wanted nothing else than to hold her and kiss her but I stopped myself and instead took her hands in mine.
"You look beautiful." Was all I could say. I could hint a small blush on her cheeks.
"I'm not so sure about that." She chuckled and looked at her dress which had been a bit ripped and dirty during the fight. A thing I couldn't care less about.
"Sorry, but as your fiancé I'm putting my foot down." I chuckled, she did too.
Fishlegs, our officiator, got everyone's attention by clearing his throat.
"We have gathered here today..." He started but the words faded in my ears. I was too busy drowning in Astrid's blue eyes. Then he started reciting the union words.
"Ye, Hiccup Haddock the third, child of Odin, dost take the, Astrid Hofferson, daughter of Freyja, to be his betrothed. And by the utterance of these words, this union may only be broken in the halls of Valhalla. You may kiss the bride." He smiled at us and finally mine and Astrid's lips met in a loving kiss. Our first kiss as married.

The celebration went on all around us in the big house. We stood at the entrance and greeted everyone as they walked inside. First was Astrid's parents who gave us both a hug.
"It was beautiful." Ingrid smiled.
"Congratulations to you both. I can't think of someone better for my daughter." Astrid's father said and gave me a pat in the back. We thanked them and faced my mom and dad.

"It was perfect." Mom gave first me a big hug and then Astrid. I saw her whisper something in Astrid's ear but couldn't hear what but it looked like if Astrid's eyes teared up for a moment. Though I couldn't do anything because of my Dad giving me a bear hug.
"I'm proud of you, son." He said
"Thanks Dad." I smiled back. When I looked at Astrid the tears were gone and the happy smile were brighter than ever. So I didn't think about it any more.
"Congratulations!" Heather exclaimed as she and Fishlegs walked up to us and gave us a hug.
"Thank you for officiating the wedding, Fishlegs, it was perfect." Astrid said
"It was an honor. Thank you for choosing me as your officiator." He smiled
"You were the one who got me through the time without Astrid, you saved my life. We wouldn't want anyone else." I said sincerely and gave him a hug.
"So when is it your turn?" Astrid asked them teasingly. Fishlegs and Heather shared a look.
"We're not sure yet, but sometime soon." Heather told us. Astrid and I just gasped at them for a moment before Astrid moved and engulfed Heather in the biggest hug yet
"Finally!" She exclaimed.
"I'm so happy for you." She said to Heather when she let go of her.
"Congratulations!" I said to Fishlegs.
"We were going to wait after the wedding to tell you." Fishlegs excused but Astrid beat me to it with waving it off.
"Don't be silly. It's the best present you could ever have given us." She said.
They gave us another hug before walking on towards the feast. The next pair congratulated us and so it went on until everyone were inside.
When we were done greeting everyone I turned to Astrid.
"Have I told you how much I love you?" I asked.
"Only about a hundred times." She chuckled.
"So not nearly enough then." I said and took a step closer to her. She rolled her eyes but still leaned in band kissed me.
It was without doubt the best day in my life.
