I felt like if I was going to faint. Either that or puke. This has to be a joke or something. But she wouldn't joke about this and she did know Astrid's name before I had told her.
"What?" I blurted out
"Astrid is alive." Mom repeated. I couldn't breathe. I tried to understand what she said.
"How?" Heather asked the question that I couldn't ask myself
"One of my dragons found her in the sea one day and took her to me." Mom said
"But we saw how Viggo stabbed her. I saw her die!" I said shocked. I maybe should be happy over the possibility that she was alive but I was so afraid that she wasn't and then the pain would kill me.
"Hiccup sit down and let her tell the whole story." Said Fishlegs and everyone sat down. My mom started to speak
"You're right Hiccup, you saw Viggo stab Astrid but you didn't see her die. She fainted from the pain and shock. They threw her in the sea but she woke up and held on to a piece of wood. One of my dragons came in the last minute and took her to me. She was unconscious for some week but got better. She always talked about you and as soon as she could fly she started to fly on this search flights." Mom told us
"What search flights?" Fishlegs asked
"She flied as long as she could until her wound became to bad and then she turned back here."
"Why?" I asked
"She wanted to find you. But every time she came back hurting, weak and with less hope."
I was stunned, everyone was. All that pain she must have gone through.
"Where is she now?" I asked
"She is on a search, she left a few days ago." Mom answered
"We must find her." I said even though I didn't know what to think. I just knew that if she really was alive then I needed to find her.
I started to stand up and get Toothless ready when I heard a voice that didn't belong to anyone in the cave.
"What's happening here?"
