Chapter 38 - Hiccup's POV

It was the day of our wedding and I woke up with the sun streaming down on my face. But then of course it was also because of Tuffnut banging against my door. Toothless walked around unsettled in the house not liking the noise.
"Get up! Get up!" I heard his mumbled voice yell at me.
"I am!" I yelled back. I walked up and opened the door for Tuffnut, Snoutlout, Fishlegs who walked in right away.
"Come on it's your wedding day!" Fishlegs squeeled. 
"I know. But the wedding is hours away." I yawned while I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.
"Just a few! And we have so much to do!" Fishlegs exclaimed stressed
"Calm down we'll be fine. How's Astrid?" I asked thinking about how she'll be walking down the isle in just a few hours.
"Heather, Ruffnut, her mother and Valka are taking care of her." Snoutlout explained.
"Good. This day has to be perfect for her. Where's Dad?"
"Bossing around everyone somewhere." Tuffnut shrugged.
"Of course he is." I sighed.
"So let's get you ready." Tuff said.

Like an hour later we were finally ready to go. The wedding would take place outdoors and it was all decorated beautifully with flowers, furs and more. It was truly beautiful.
Then from nowhere, destroying my moment, came Toothless knocking me over and started licking me.
"Toothless no! Not these clothes!" I exclaimed but at the same time I couldn't stop myself from laughing.
"Son." I heard a deep joyous voice behind me. I turned around to stand face to face with my father.
"Dad." I smiled.
"Good choice lad, you look good." He complimented me as he put a hand on my shoulder but I wondered if he meant my clothes or something else.
"Thanks. Is everything ready?" I asked
"Down to the smallest detail. Now we're just waiting for the bride." He answered calming. But the calm would soon end.
"About that." Eret son of Eret came running towards us panting. "She's gone."
