The whole day had been perfect. I had been cared for by my best friends, Valka and my mom who had woken me up with big smiles on their faces and a "Wake up, it's your wedding day!". But then when we were on our way to the wedding on our dragons Ruffnut got us to the wrong place. And now we stood on the outskirts of Berk with no idea where the wedding actually was.
"What do you mean you forgot where the wedding is?! It was your only job!" Heather exclaimed irritated. Ruffnut was just about to defend herself but Valka cut in.
"Everyone, calm down. It's going to be okay. We'll just send someone to find someone who knows where the wedding is who can come here and show us the way there." We all nodded
"I'll go." Ruffnut volunteered.
"You don't have your dragon, Ruff. You got here with Valka remember?" I reminded her.
"I'll go." My mom said and gave me a kiss on the head before she mounted her dragon and got ready to take off.
"Wait here. I'll be right back." She said.
"We will." Heather nodded with a smile.
"If you see Hiccup tell him not to worry, please. I know he will." I asked
"Of course, darling." Mom smiled and then rose into the air. In that moment we heard a voice speak up from behind us. A most unwelcome voice.
"I almost didn't believe it when I heard it but it really is true then. I failed."
We all spun around and within seconds we held our weapons high in defense.
"Viggo." I said with all the loathe, disgust and hate I held for the man in front of me. This was the man who had captured me, starved me, stabbed me and thrown me into an ocean. How anyone could even think about doing something like that is a mystery to me.
"Astrid. You never stops to amaze me. I thought that I had actually killed you." He said with the faked sweet voice I remembered far to well.
"I would say that I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm not." I answered coldly.
"What are you doing here?" Valka asked with almost more hate than I had in my voice. But for her he had hurt both her son and her almost daughter in law and I knew her well enough to know that it wasn't something that she could forgive.
"I heard about a wedding and got a bit of a shock when I found out who the lucky couple were. So I thought that I just had to see if it really was true." He explained like if we were old friends meeting after a long time.
"What do you want Viggo?" Heather asked with her axe held high.
"Oh nothing special. Just to at last finish what I started and get rid of Hiccup once and for all."
