She danced with me. She had undone her braid so her blonde hair fell down on her back. Her smile shined like the sun and warmed my heart. I laughed with her as we spun around. We fell down on the ground laughing. Her lips met mine and I drowned in the kiss. When we broke apart she looked right into my eyes and smiled that smile I loved more than anything else in the world.
Suddenly we was on a cliff, she stood in front of me. I took the few steps up to her but when I hugged her from the back she turned around and looked at me with tears in her eyes. She held a hand against her stomach
"Why didn't you save me?" She asked and I saw how blood painted her hand red.
"I wanted to, so bad..." I helplessly tried
"But why didn't you?" She asked
"I couldn't..." I said with tears in my eyes
"This is your fault." She said coldly and fell down from the cliff down into the ocean.
"No Astrid!" I screamed and tried to catch her but I failed. She hit the water and disappeared.
"ASTRID!" I screamed as I woke up. Toothless came running to my bed to see that I was okay. But I was never okay, and I would never be again without her.
"It's just a nightmare bud. I'll be alright." I lied. I could see that he didn't buy it. Under the past month he had become used to my nightmares.
"Let's go." I sat up on him and we flied away. The only thing that could make the horrible pain in my chest fade a bit was to fly with Toothless.
We landed on a island. It was beautiful but not as beautiful as the one that I took Astrid to on our anniversary. I couldn't go to that island, it would hurt so much that I would die. Why didn't it sound so bad? I knew why. I couldn't go on like this. I had tried but failed like i had failed everything else. Toothless looked at me.
"I'm sorry bud. But I can't live in a world without her anymore." I said and made my decision. My last decision.
