Chapter 29 - Astrid's POV

I woke up confused. I felt how someone held me close and I saw Hiccup sound asleep beside me. I was afraid at first. How was he here? Had I finally died and got to meet him again? Were
we in Valhalla? I was sad that he had died to but happy to be with him again. Then I remembered what had happened. He was really here, alive, it wasn't a hallucination. I smiled but it stopped when I felt how the wound hurt. I carefully got out of Hiccup's arms, He almost woke up. I walked towards the place where Valka had her medicines. The wound hurt more than it used to and silent tears of pain dropped down my cheeks. I took the medicine and started to walk back to Hiccup but a little noise stopped
me. I turned around and saw Toothless look up on me.
"It's okay, it's only me." I said and walked to him with my hand out. I pet his head and he looked happy.
"It's been a long time hasn't it?" I said and he seemed to agree.
"Can I sit with you for a little while?" I asked and i think he nodded
"Thanks" I sat down and put his wing around me.
Toothless looked at me like he wondered how i've been all this time.
"I've been...bad." I said but he kept looking at me like that wasn't enough
"okay terrible. I didn't know how to survive without Hiccup and you and the riders and Stormfly. Is she really okay?" I asked. He nodded and I hugged him because i was so happy. But the tears kept running, he seemed to wonder why. I knew I couldn't lie to him.
"It's nothing really, my wound hurts." He looked at me like he knew it was more.
"Okay, i'm afraid that it isn't nothing. Shouldn't it be healed by now?" He looked compassionate
"I know what happened with Hiccup. The twins almost spilled the beans. Hiccup tried to kill himself, didn't he?" I asked and the pain in Toothless eyes gave me the answer.
"What happens if I die for real? He would kill him self. I can't let that happen." I cried.
Toothless put his head in my lap and comforted me as I cried.
