Lauren's POV
I don't know what's wrong with Dani. But somethings wrong.Really wrong otherwise she wouldn't be acting this way. She hasn' been the fun Dani i knew almost a year ago. She's different. I smelt it on her again today. I think it's alcohol but i'm not sure. I really hope she hasn't been drinking or smoking, it would go against everything we believe. She's always going out and coming home late and she's been a lot more rude. My parents and siblings think it's just a 'phase' because she's 16 but I know it's something more than that.
"Lauren...LAUREN...", I woke up from my mini trance and realise Lisa is trying to get my attention. "Huh.." I said.
"Hey, where'd you go?" she said laughing as she stopped clicking her fingers in front of my face. "I was just thinking" I said meeting her brown eyes that matched mine. "Abouuut..." she pushed. Uggh older sisters they don't leave you alone! "Uh Dani" I slowly said, looking at my lap, "What's wrong with her Lise?" now I looked up at her and watched her grin slowly fade away, a concerned look appearing. She sat on the bed in front of me and held my hands in hers, "Hey ladybug I know you're worried right now and trust me so am I but I think its best if we just give her some space. I'm sure she'll be fine soon. And you need to stop worrying so much, I know the two of you are close but seriously you need to go and live you're life and let Dani sort herself out she's 16 and I'm sure she's okay." Lisa said softly but sternly her eyes locked to mine. She pulled me into a hug "shhh...it's gonna be okay" she whispered. At first I was confused but then I realised I was shaking, warm tears trailing down my face. " wow that was deep" I mumbled into Lisa's shoulder. She laughed and so did I. Maybe I should just listen to Lisa and just 'move on'.
But will it be that easy. I mean Dani's my baby sister. My spice. And what if she really does need my help. I can't just abandon her, can I?
