Isaac's POV

Her laugh lit me up. Her smile gave me butterflies. Her eyes glistened as they looked into mine until she broke the gaze. We sat in the back of my truck and I draped a blanket around her, she smiled which also made me get this funny feeling. I remember feeling a little like this with Lauren. Lisa and I talked. I felt comfortable with her.

"So, how did you meet my sister?" she asks as we both look at the view ahead of us.

"Which one?" I joked.

"What do you mean?" she asks genuinely confused.

"Oh I know Dani too," I say nonchalantly. Her eyes widened as they met mine.

"WHAT!" she exclaimed, I nodded my head.

"And the plot thickens," she mutters. I laugh, she's so funny too. She's different to Lauren, sure she has some similarities, I mean it was how alike she looked to Lauren that first attracted me to her, apart from the fact that Lisa's hair was short. But Lisa seemed more edgy and... I don't know there was just something about her.

"Just tell me everything,"Lisa demanded, "Right from the very beginning." I took a deep breath.

"Well, I met Lauren a year and a half back. I have a sister, Becca, they were friends. Lauren is the same age as my sister so when I first met her I didn't think much more of her than one of my little sister's friends. And Laur is 3 years younger than me, so she was 16 at the time and I was 19." I said, playing with the ends of the blanket around Lisa.

"So did you like her?" Lisa said. I chuckled and shook my head, she looked confused.

"I got to know her as more than my little sister's friend and I fell for her. I loved her." I said and Lisa looked taken aback.

"T-Then what happened?" Lisa asked, surprised.

"We kept it a secret for several months. She made me so happy, her smile and her sarcastic comments made me laugh, but then Becca found out we were seeing each other and stopped talking to me. I don't know what happened between her and Lauren, but after that night Lauren left me and I was heartbroken. We didn't talk after that. I was left in a state. A really bad one. I wasn't looking after myself; I didn't shave, I'd hardly eat or exercise. But Becca finally realised how...broken I was and she helped me through it and now we've become close again." I finished, looking at my shoes. I felt Lisa's hand on top of mine. I looked at her.

"I remember around a year ago, probably while she was dating you, Lauren was so happy." Lisa spoke softly, "I knew immediately it was about a boy. I asked her but she never spoke about it much, probably wanting it to be a secret like you said. All that changed afterwards though, she would cry all the time and spend most days in her room. That was probably when you guys broke up. I thought to myself I'm gonna kill whoever did this to her. But she opened up to Dani and I and got better eventually, so I guess she really loved you too." Lisa said, all the while holding my hand and looking at me. She moved closer to me and rested her head on my shoulder looking back at the view. My body exploded with warmth. I smiled.

I guess it made me feel better somehow, knowing that Lauren went through the same thing as me and I wasn't the only one who was mad at the relationship ending. I sighed again.

"Oh well, it's in the past. I've moved on and I'm sure Lauren has too," I said. I bit my lip before saying, "Besides I think I'm beginning to like someone new now anyways." She snapped her head up in my direction and grinned.

"Oh really and who may that be?" she said smiling, knowingly.

"Oh, just a someone," I teased.
