"What's going on?" Lexie said.

"Come on, let's go, I'll tell you on the way" Sofia replied.

"WHERE?" Lexi shouted, annoyed at her secrecy.

"To the cabin," Sofia said grabbing her keys, "That's where Lauren is."

Sofia's POV

As we drove towards the cabin, I filled Lexie in on what happened when she and Dani left the cabin yesterday night. She sat there, mouth agape.

"Wow, what a bitch" she muttered. She always didn't really like Becca, but now, with what we assume Becca's done with Lauren, I'm sure Lexie hates her.

"Well I'm sure Lauren's fine" I said, assuring Lexie and myself too, "she seemed tough when she came in, hell she even yelled at Becca."

"Yeah," she agreed "Plus you said the boys were there, right? They'll take care of her." I nodded my head as I parked up. We both got out of the car, greeted by the chilly morning air. When I had left the cabin it had been just after 8pm and Dani had come to our place at 6am, looking for Lauren. I know that's early for us to be awake but we didn't really sleep. Now it was 7am which means Lauren has been missing for a really long time. And I think I saw Isaac's car a while back, driving off, but I didn't see it clearly. It could've been any car.

Lexie tugged on my arm, leading me towards the cabin. I chuckled lightly at her impatience. She pushed open the cabin door.

"Hello?" she called out. It was pin drop silence.

"Well, I guess she's not here." I sighed out of relief, maybe Becca hadn't done anything to Dani's sister. But then my eyes snapped up to the sounds of creaky floorboards coming from upstairs. Lexie and I immediately looked at each other. She picked up an old umbrella from the corner of the room. I gave her a confused look.

"And what exactly do you think that'll do?" I whisper shouted.

"Hey!" she pretended being offended, "It's better than nothing," she whispered back. I nodded my head and we both cautiously walked up the stairs. We open the door to the only upstairs room, apart from the bathroom. Lexie lifts the umbrella higher as we both enter.

"ARRRRRGH!" we both yell as Lexie defensively swings the umbrella into someone's side. He falls to the floor clutching his side. He swings his head up, brushing his ash brown hair to the side. We realise it's Jason. The glare of his green eyes burns through Lexi and I... and the umbrella.

"Arrgh, Lexie what was that for?" He said through gritted teeth. A smirk played around my lips and Lexie stood there, clearly amused.

"Oops, sorry" she said, sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and got to his feet, a red mark visible on his bare side.

"What are you doing here anyway?" I asked, looking around, the bedsheets were crumpled and he stood there bare chested, "Did you crash here?"

"Yeah" he said pulling the same green tee from yesterday over his head. "Why are you guys here so early?" He asked, stifling a yawn.

Lexie looked at me and indicating I should speak. I sighed.

"Well, Dani's sister, Lauren is missing," I said and Jason seemed to freeze for a moment, but I just shrugged it off. "And this is the last place I saw her but she's not here so..."

"Jase, have you seen her?" Lexie asked. His head snapped up.

"N-no, w-why would I have seen her, I hardly know her." He stammered.

"Okayyy" I said, why was he being weird?

"Well do you know if Becca... you know, forced her?" I asked, "To drink, I mean."

"No, I uh left soon after you did," He said "But I don't think she did."

"Wait, what about Kyle, he was there too right?" Lexie asked.

"I dunno, I think he convinced Becca not to or something." Jason said quietly.

"Oh well, she's probably fine" Lexie said "We should go now."

"Yeah" I said turning around, "need a ride?" I asked Jason.

"No, I got my car," he replied. I proceeded to walk out of the cabin, Lexie on my heels.

I wonder why he was being so weird about the whole thing? I just shrugged it off and got in the car, heading home.

--------------------------------------------

As we neared our flat, Lexie's phone began ringing. She looked at the screen.

"It's Dani" she said. I looked at her confused, and then she answered the phone. Lexie said a few things into the phone and then hung up.

"What did she say?" I asked.

"She said that her other sister had phoned her saying that Lauren was back home, so I guess we were worrying about nothing," she smiled.

"Yeah, I guess" I said, but still unsure.
