Chapter 51 - Battle scars.

5 weeks later.

The court hearing had gone smoothly. Jason Tiery got life imprisonment, just as he deserved. His brother, Joe Tiery, got 25 years because of his already existent criminal background. It was a struggle for Lauren and Blake to go up and testify but with all their courage, they spoke the truth of their battle and justice was served. 

Dani and Lexie wasted no time in buying a nice home together where they lived happily. Isaac and Lisa were planning on becoming housemates with them soon too. Blake had finally moved in with Sofia and Alex had finally asker her out on a date. Lauren and Amy were the only girls left living at the Cimorelli household along with their parents and brothers but Ryan and Kyle were around so often you'd think they also live there.

The doorbell echoed throughout the almost empty house. 

"Lauren! Kyle's here!" Joey yelled up the stairs.

"Coming!" she yelled back, putting her makeup back in the drawers. She wore a dark blue dress that flowed down to her mid thigh area, showing off her legs and a black cardigan over the top. She hadn't worn something like this...in a long time. Lauren looked at herself in the mirror apprehensively, maybe she should quickly change. A voice from the doorway interrupted her thoughts.

"Wow," Kyle said, staring at his girlfriend as she stood in front of the mirror. Lauren met his eyes through the mirror and gave him a small smile. 

"Do you think I look okay?" she asked timidly. Kyle rolled his eyes dramatically and then snaked his arms around Lauren from behind, while still holding eye contact with her.

"You look beautiful," he whispered into her ear, before pecking a light kiss on her cheek. The girl blushed profusely before punching Kyle in the arm.

"Shut up," she muttered, "So are we gonna leave then?" He nodded his head, still staring in awe at his girlfriend. Lauren began to walk out of the room when Kyle quickly took her hand and pulled her back. She stumbled into his chest and then looked up at him surprised, he wore a stupid grin and Lauren couldn't help but smile back. That's when she noticed how close the two of them were. She could feel Kyle's heartbeat hammering against her chest and he could feel Lauren's. Soon the situation became too much to bear and Lauren closed the remaining gap between them, pressing her lips to his. Kyle pulled the girl even closer as he deepened the kiss.

"Eurghh," Nick exclaimed around a mouthful of food as he and Amy stopped in the hallway and saw the couple in Lauren's room. Nick's face was scrunched up in disgust. Kyle immediately jumped away from Lauren and scratched the back of his head nervously. Amy gave Nick a playful slap on his shoulder.

"Oh stop it Nick, it's cute." Amy gushed as she noticed her sister blushing, "But like, you better take all of that outside of the bedroom next time before it's mom or dad that's walking past instead." The four of them laughed before Kyle and Lauren left the house and made their way to meet his parents.

"Hey mom," Kyle greeted, as he entered his mom's room where she lay in her bed with the many machines attached to her. She smiled and was about to greet him back when she noticed Lauren standing a little bit behind her son. Kyle's mom noticed the girl seemed very nervous but she was a beautiful young lady.

"This must be Lauren," she exclaimed, "He's only been talking about how amazing you are like all of the time." Lauren laughed and Kyle blushed.

"Mom," he whined.

"What?" she replied innocently. Kyle just grinned and took Lauren's hand as he walked over to his mother's bedside.

"It's nice to meet you Mrs Walker." Lauren said giving a soft smile as she sat beside Kyle. As soon as Lauren uttered this small sentence, Mrs Walker's eyes almost filled with tears; she could practically feel the genuineness radiating off of Lauren.
