Lauren's POV

I picked at a thread in my tights, finding it to be a good distraction as I heard the happy conversations of my sisters around me.

"OMG!" Amy squealed excitedly, "Now we all have boyfriends!" Dani looked at her, offended.

"Um Lexie is not a boy Amy," she said, feigning hurt. Amy rolled her eyes.

"You know what I meant," she said, "I'm just glad were all happy and in a good place." Well she can speak for herself. I mean don't get me wrong I'm happy about how everything just went down with Kyle and all, just moments earlier but at the same time that night seems to be haunting me everywhere I go. Particularly now, considering I wanted to tell the rest of my sisters about it. But should I? They all sounded so happy tonight, so free and untroubled. I didn't want to ruin that. Christina stopped listening to Katherine abruptly and turned to me, and took note of my silence and troubled expression.

"Hey Lauren, you okay?" Christina asked. I shot her a smile.

"Everything's fine," I said unconvincingly, the rest of the girls turned to look at me now too, seemingly worried. Dani and Lisa shot me glares as if to say 'tell them now, you said you were going too'. I know. I did say that. But I can't tell them, not now.

"Are you sure Laurie?" Kath asked, getting up from her position on the floor and joining me on the couch, sandwiching me between her and Lisa.

"Yeah you know you can talk to us if something is up." Amy determined. I nodded my head tightly.

"I'm fine. It's nothing." I replied, forcing a little fake joy to my face. They all seemed convinced and were about to leave it alone when Dani spoke up.

"You're not fine. And it's not nothing." she spat out. I glared at her as confused expressions sprung onto Kath, Amy and Christina's faces while Lisa looked at Dani, a little shocked.

"Dani stop," I said through gritted teeth. She just stared at me.

"You said you were going to tell them so tell them. It's been long enough." Dani said again, by now I was getting annoyed.

"Danielle." I said ensuring she heard the tone of my voice.

"What's going on you guys?" Amy asked, a hint of slight fear in her voice as her eyes darted between me and Dani, same with Christina and Katherine. My mouth opened to tell yet another lie but Lisa put her hand on my knee and looked into my eyes sadly.

"Tell them," she whispered. I looked at her for a moment and then at each of my sisters and finally nodded at Lisa. I caught Dani's eye.

"Sorry Dani, you're right and I shouldn't have snapped at you like that." I apologised. She returned my apology with a smile. I took a dee breath and looked at my lap. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Amy and Christina move in closer to me, comfortingly and ready to listen.

"I don't know," I began, "I don't know how to start it." I scoffed at myself.

"Whatever it is you can tell us Laur and I promise you we'll try to understand." Christina spoke with Amy and Kath nodding in agreement.

"Around 2 months ago that night when I said I got mugged, I lied. I went out after Dani, I was worried about her you know. I followed her to a cabin and tricked her out of there so I could go in and tell Becca to back off." Kath interrupted me.

"Wait, isn't Becca Isaac's sister?" she questioned. I nodded my head.

"I knew her from before as well. We were friends. But she wasn't a good one. So I stopped seeing her and Isaac all together. I thought I'd heard the last of her before she started messing with Dani. So I went into the cabin. Sofia and Kyle were there. Becca was there. And a-another guy was there too." I gulped, tears stinging my eyes. Lisa squeezed my hand, urging me to continue.
