Lauren's POV
I let out a blood curdling scream as I cradled Blake's body. Her eyes were closed now. She looked almost peaceful. Her face had lost all colour. Her split bottom lip was slightly parted from her upper lip. Her blonde hair was now blood stained as well as the corners of her mouth.
"Wake up," I sobbed,"Blake, wake up please. Look we were nearly there. The road was so close. Come on, please." But she didn't move. Blood continued to seep out from the two bullet holes in her back and side. I hugged her closer to me, my hospital gown becoming drenched in her blood. I cried into her body. Endless tears flood down my face making their way to join the pool of blood that surrounded me. I looked up as footsteps neared.
It was him. The rapist. The kidnapper. The murderer.
"LOOK WHAT YOU DID!" I screamed, "YOU KILLED HER! YOU FUCKING KILLED HER!" More sobs erupted from my body as I used a shaky hand to push some hair out of Blake's face. Jason looked scared. No, he looked petrified. Tears slid down his face.
"Fuck!" He yelled, running his hand through his hair, "This wasn't supposed to happen, no, no. This is your fault!" I met his gaze through my tear filled eyes.
"My fault?" I choked out, disbelievingly. How dare he? This was all his doing. He shook his head repeatedly.
"You shouldn't have ran. Why did you run?" He cried, he came over to me and took me by the elbow roughly, ripping me away from Blake's body. I grunted and pulled away from him. He grabbed my sore wrist and I winced in pain.
"Stop struggling." He ordered. I was so done with being scared of him. He killed my friend. I pushed against his chest but it did little to him. Instead he just raised his hand and brought the back of his gun onto my head. And then blackness.
Becca's POV
I didn't dare say anything as Jason dragged Lauren's limp body by the hair and loaded her into the back of my truck. I had a cut above my eyebrow from where he'd pushed me to the ground. He forced me to drive back to the cabin and threw Lauren back into the outdoor basement, restraining her wrist once again.
He killed some one.
This had definitely gone way too far. Tonight I was going to get Lauren and get the hell out of here and call the police on the way too. He emerged from the doors of the basement and stood in front of me, staring coldly into my eyes. I whimpered, exposing my obvious fear of him even further.
"You dare tell anyone about this," He threatened, "I'm going out for a bit, remember to feed her." He got in the car and began to drive off. I was scared of him and he knew it. But it wasn't going to stop me from getting Lauren out of this damn place and getting help.
After making sure he was really gone. I pulled on the wooden bolts that secured the doors to the basement and then descended into it. Lauren's pale and unconscious body was propped up against the wall to my left, her right wrist tied to a pipe with wire. Her gown was covered in blood and her head hung forward, hair hiding her face. I quickly made my way over to her and knelt down.
"Lauren," I called her name, tapping her cheek gently. She had had blood running down her neck, probably from when she got knocked out by Jason. A little bit later her eyes began to flutter open and she drew a long breath. Her brown eyes met my blue ones and they widened a little. Before she could say anything I began talking.
"I'm sorry. I'm so fricking sorry Laur." I said genuinely, she looked taken aback, "I didn't think he'd actually do that to you that night, I didn't know that he's this psychotic." Lauren's eyes watered.
"Blake," she murmured, "She's dead." I looked at her sadly.
"I'm so sorry," I sobbed, she reached out her free hand and placed it on my knee.
