Chapter 6- Dani and Christina's "talk"

Dani's POV

Imagine a fire breathing dragon with all sorts of weapons angrily glaring at you and you are also trapped in the same room as it. Well that's how I feel right now except the fire breathing dragon is Christina...

"What the hell Dani!" she yelled "You guys never fight, not seriously anyway! And Lauren was on the floor bleeding! Did you do that?" she yelled.

I stared at the ground. I did do that. I hurt Lauren. I nervously played with my fingers. I could stand up to any one of my sisters or brothers but not Christina. She was the one person in the family I was afraid to upset. But frankly I think everyone is seeing as she's basically the second mother of the family. Katherine is too but she's more of the "kind, caring, motherly one" whereas Chris was not. She was more of the "whoop your ass if you do something dumb one". Lisa could be like that too sometimes. And then there was Lauren who was like the quiet, chill one but was scary when someone tried to hurt to her family. One time at the park I fell from the skateboard and some boys started making fun of me and lets just say what Laur did next was not pretty. And then Amy. She was older than Lauren and I but did not act it. She's adorable, fun and so bubbly. Just like I used to be. Used to. Not anymore.

"Well..." Cristina demanded impatiently.

I hoped Lauren had not told Lisa about the um drinking because I sort of lied to Chris when I started telling her what happened last night and today in the morning.

"I came home late last night and Lauren got angry and we just started yelling and she grabbed my wrist and I got mad so pushed her away" I said out of breath, still not meeting her gaze. "I didn't mean for Lauren to hurt herself, I swear!" I rambled on.

Christina softened up once she heard the full story and that what happened was only an accident and I was so glad.

"Okay" she said. I sighed in relief. "But that doesn't mean I'm not telling mom or dad".

I immediately started to freak out. "No Chris please, you can't" I begged.

"Dan you can't go on like this! You're being different! You're not acting like yourself and picking fights with you sister crosses the line!" she shouted.

"No Chris please! I promise I'll change, I'll apologize to Lauren. Please don't!" I pleaded.

She sensed the desperation in my voice, "Only if you promise to change your behaviour" she demanded.

"Of course" I replied, relief washing over me.

"Good you runt now go talk to Laur" she ruffled my hair playfully and laughed.

I gave her a smile and walked out the room.

Phew. That was a close one. I couldn't have my parents on my tail like Lauren is. That would be too much. What with everything going down with Becca. Speaking of Becca how the hell did Lauren know her. I really do need to talk with Lauren...
