Dani's POV

Lexie's been wanting me to come out to my family for a long time now. I guess she just wants to stop hiding around and just wants to be open about our love. Wait... did I just say love? I smiled inwardly. I guess I do love her, I hope she feels the same way. You might think it's too soon for love but I've known Lexie a long time and I've liked her for a long time too but since we began dating my feelings for her developed further.  Once we all pulled away from the warm hug, I felt it was a good time to tell my sisters now. I was going to have to tell them sooner or later anyways. I cleared my throat.

"Uh guys," I began, "I have to tell you all something." They all looked at me expectantly.

"Yeah go ahead," Katherine said, smiling. I gathered my words and quickly thought about how I was going to explain this to them, until I finally decided to speak from my heart. They were my family after all.

"I really don't know how you guys are gonna react a-and you'll probably hate me after but-" I began rambling but Amy cut me off.

"Dan we could never hate you, no matter what it is you're about to tell us." She paused before saying, "But can you tell us already? You're kinda freaking me out." I chuckled slightly.

"Right yeah, um, I like someone," I said quietly, "Actually I think I'm in love with them."

"Oh my gosh!" Christina yelled, "I knew it, you were acting all weird the other day, who's the lucky boy?" she said excitedly wigging her eyebrows. Then I sighed, now was the hard part.

"It's not a boy...it's a girl." I said looking at the ground, tears pricking at my eyes, "I'm gay," I whispered. They looked shocked, not exactly knowing what to say.

"Are you-," Christina cleared her throat, "Are you sure?" she asked. I nodded my head and she smiled a small smile and I returned it. All of their faces broke out into huge grins, and they attacked me with hugs saying how happy they were for me, except for Lisa of course (who still sat in her hospital bed). Lauren didn't hug me but she gave me a warm smile from across the room which was more than enough for me. I was genuinely surprised at the reaction but it was a good surprised feeling, I didn't expect them to take it so well considering our family is so religious.

"Dani," Christina said, making me look at her, "I'm really proud of you. We all are. Coming out is a really hard thing to do and I think you're so brave. We're all just glad that someone else is making you happy because we've all noticed your change of mood recently." I laughed.

"I love you guys," I said brightly. They all smiled but then Lisa's yelling interrupted us, we whipped our heads round worriedly thinking something had happened to her again, until we noticed the stupid grin on her face.

"Oh my god, Oh my god, Oh my god!" she said repeatedly.

"What? What is it?" I asked, confused.

"It's that girl, isn't it? That blonde one?" she closed her eyes for a moment as if in deep thought, "Lexie?"

I froze up and then felt the rush of blood to my cheeks. Amy started laughing uncontrollably.

"Dude you must really love her," she said in-between laughing, "You should see your face." I blushed harder at her comment and soon everyone was laughing, including Lisa and Lauren. I smiled to myself, I can't wait to tell Lexie that they know now.

Lauren's POV

I'm happy for Dani. I really am. It's just, I'm still angry at her for jumping to conclusions and thinking it was Kyle. But I really want to forgive her. I'll need to talk to her real soon so I can fix things up, I just want everything to go back to how it was.
