~Darielle's point of view~

I sighed but kept a straight face. "Are you sure this will work?" I asked Ms. Mallette as she stared at me with a pleading expression. "I'm positive." She nodded.

I sighed deeply as I run my fingers through my hair and averted my eyes somewhere but her eyes. "You do know the advantages and disadvantages in this decision?" I asked still not looking at her.

"Yes! Please accept my request! I'm begging you, Darielle! He means the world to me! This would save him! If you agree. . ." She answered without stopping to think.

I sighed and grinned before turning to see her with her head face down on the table with her arms up showing her hands in a praying gesture. I was taken aback.

I sighed and reached my hand out to her and softly patted her head making her slowly look up with tears in her eyes. "Fine. I agree." I grinned at her.

Tears of joy came to my eyes and a cheerful smile. I shot up from my seat and jumped and squealed in joy. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I screamed.

Darielle got up from her seat still grinning at my happiness. "Anything to help a mother in need." She said. I smiled widely at her. Her parents must be proud of her.

"You're a miracle!" I exclaimed. She just grinned at the ground. "Well, I must be off. It's been long since I chatted with a mother like you. Good night." She said before walking out the door and closing it.

I stared at the door with a soft expression. Long since . . . ? What does she mean? Oh well. . . I'll need to tell Justin the news tomorrow after school.

I'm sorry, Justin. It's for your sake.

-The Next Day-

I woke up by the sound of my alarm ringing filling thru my ears. I groaned wishing I could stay in bed but as the Goody Two Shoes I am; I forced myself up.

Another day in hell. Whoop. . .

= = = = = = = = = =

I came early to school so, that I won't get teased by. Actually, I came at 6.00 a.m. Nobody is here yet so, I'm quite happy at that. The teachers doesn't mind and the school security guard doesn't mind either.

I walked down the empty hallway with my head down. My mind can't help wonder to my mom & Darielle. What was so important? Did it involve me 'til they won't let me in their conversation?

I sighed. My mom must be thinking that she's unlucky to have a weak and nerdy son. I gritted my teeth in anger. Why can't I stand up for myself?!

The most embarrassing fact is; I was saved by a girl! Imagine how utterly embarrassing that is!? I'm useless. How am I gonna be husband? Oh, wait . . . I'll never be one.

I was too focused in my thoughts that I hadn't realize there was someone leaning against my locker. I gulped hoping praying it's not David or anyone who bullies me.

I looked closer to see it was a female figure. What girl would want to be at my locker? Suddenly, a light turned on and shone onto the girl.

I gasped in shock to see it was Darielle. By now, I'm shaking uncontrollably. Damn nervousness. I slowly stopped when I'm in front of her. Well-- 2 feet away-- in front of her.

She had one foot resting against the locker with her arms folded and her head down making her bangs covering her eyes with her lips in a straight line.

I wanted to tell her to move but being the scardy cat I was-- I didn't. My mouth was open but nothing exited. "Let me ask you question." She spoke.

I was surprised but I stayed silent. She still stood in her position. "Do you love your mother?" She asked making me perplexed. Where is she going with this?

"Y-yes. . . ?" My answer came out a question. "When your mother wants you to do something, would you agree?" I raised my eyebrow. I gulped wondering what she is up to.

"U-Um, maybe . . . yes. . ." I answered. She nodded her head like how a detective would. "If she wants you to do something you wouldn't like, would you still do it?"

I'm getting even more puzzled by her sudden questions. "Um, why are you asking me these que-." She interrupted me. "Answer the question." She said sternly but didn't raise her voice.

I jumped but answered, "I-If it would make her happy then, y-yeah. . ." I said. She was silent after I answered. I glance at my watch. 6.25 a.m.

"U-Um, D-Darielle. . . I kind of need t-to open my locker. C-Could you-." She cut me off by speaking, "Last question." Seriously!? I need to get to my locker!

She lifted her head up revealing her unreadable brown eyes and her composed face. "If it was the hardest decision, are you willing to accept . . . or run away?"

I stared at her with my eyes widen; questioningly. I blinked. "Run away . . . ?"
