ATTENTION! IMPORTANT!

In the early chapters, I wrote Pattie as a nurse who worked in a hospital. So I changed the note in CHAPTER 40 saying she's going to a seminar in the Bahamas. Not business trip.

Okay. You may read now. :)

~Justin’s point of view~

I felt something tickling my nose whilst my eyes were closed since I was sleeping. I scrunched my nose and sighed as I snuggled against the puffy pillow. The tickling came again and I shook my head, trying to avoid it. It stopped which made me sigh in relief. It was too soon because I felt something soft hitting my nose which caused me to open my eyes and shoot up from the bed into a sitting position.

I heard chuckling and I turned to see Darielle, who was lying down on the bed, looking at me with a sly grin on her face. I furrowed my eyebrows at her. “I was enjoying those little scrunched up faces of yours. It’s cute.” She spoke in a raspy morning voice. I took a moment to look at her. Her hair was sprawled against the pillow, messily yet I find it absolutely attractive. “Morning.” She said as she began to push herself up into a sitting position like me.

I smiled when I saw that she was wearing one my shirts. It was a black sleeveless Blink 182 band tee. It was quite big on her and the shirt only reached until mid thigh. My eyes widened when they landed on her bare legs. I gulped as they were displayed in front of me. I didn’t know that she wasn’t going to wear any pants or shorts, at least. My heart started to beat rapidly as I felt my face heat up.

       Snap!

I jerked and blink multiple times. I noticed Darielle’s fingers were the ones that made that ‘snap’ sound. “You’re spacing out, Justin. What were you thinking about?” She asked as she brought her legs to her chest and wrapped her arms around them whilst laying her head sideways on her knees and facing me. I swallowed when my eyes travelled down her flawlessly long legs. My heart rate increased when my assumptions were right. She wasn’t wearing any pants, only her panties.

Why do I get myself into these situations? “U-Umm . . . I-I was . . .” I stammered, not knowing how to tell her why I was spacing out. I can’t say: I almost lost the ability to breathe from looking at your bare legs and the fact that you’re only wearing my shirt.

Yeah . . . I can’t tell her that. Even if she was my fiancée. She chuckled and shook her. “It’s okay. You don’t have to tell me.” She placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. I looked at her and my body relaxed under her touch. I gave her a small smile as I lift my hand up to her and caressed her hair and head adoringly. She smiled at me as she enjoyed my touch. It was like her smile just automatically made me smile.

A little cliché but, if she smiles, I smile. I pulled my hand away and placed it by my side. She sighed and released her arms from her legs, letting her legs stretch out down the bed. “Well, as much as I would love to enjoy each other’s presence, we better get dressed for school.” She told as she got up from the bed and stretched her body before heading to my bathroom. I mentally awed at her figure. She looked so cute in my shirt since it was big on her.

After the both of us got dressed and had our breakfast, we both walked to school, hand in hand. As we walked, we didn’t really talk. We just enjoyed each other’s company. There were some passersby that saw us and pointed at us. I don’t know what they were thinking but judging by the looks on their faces, it’s not bad.

After a 30 minute walk to school, we entered the premises and instantly all eyes were on us. Usually, I would feel intimidated and scared but now that Darielle has helped me through, I feel annoyed by their attention. I felt her hand rubbing my chest, comforting me. I turn to look down at her and gave her a thankful expression. She smiled in return. I just want to get through the day without being disturbed. I just want to spend time with my girl before she leaves.

As we walked down the hall, the students’ stares were as if trying to penetrating through our bodies. I breathed out, trying to calm myself. I looked down at Darielle who had this nonchalant expression on. How is she not bothered by this? I sighed and shook my head. I guess before we even got involve with each other, this is how she is when she’s at school. Lucky.

We went to my locker and get my books out. Then we went to Darielle’s locker to get hers. I leaned on my shoulder against the locker next to her as I watched her take her books out. I took this time to look at her outfit. She looked really cute today.

She wore a plain white tank top with a faded blue long sleeved button-up shirt with the cuffs of the sleeve folded once. She only unbuttoned four buttons as the shirt was tucked in a black skater skirt. She had on a few plain black bracelets on her left wrist. Her shoes were only a pair of red Converse high tops. Her beautiful brunette hair was let down naturally. I smiled at my naturally beautiful fiancée. It’s still hard to believe that a simple guy like me could ever be with an elegant girl like her. It’s a mystery, really.

I felt a presence behind me as a dark chuckle filled my ears making me turn around. My eyes widened as my hands balled into tight fists. My teeth were clenching as my whole body tensed up. Before, I would usually tremble and stutter when he was in my sight. Now all I feel was anger. There were flashes of him beating me and pushing me around filling my head which just angers me more. I realized that screaming at him won’t do anything to stop him from pushing others around so I took a deep breath and exhaled which calmed down my heart rate.

I blocked Darielle from his sight. I don’t think I could forbear myself with the image of his shameless eyes travelling up and down my fiancée. I guess Darielle understands what I’m doing since I felt her pressing her front to my back as I felt her hand grasped a handful of the back of my shirt. I felt my conscience at ease knowing that she could rely on me. That’s the kind of husband I want to be for her. She can rely on me in any situation.

“Aww, why would you hide such a sexy thing from me, Bieber?” David whined in a childish voice. I stayed silent as I just stared hard at him. “What? You think that being with her, you could just stand up to me? Wow, that’s pure bravery.” He said, sarcastically as he turned his head to his posse who laughed as they stood a foot behind him.

He turned to meet my eyes with a dark gaze and a sly smirk curved upon his lips. “Let’s put that bravery to the test shall we?”
