~Justin’s point of view~

It’s been a while since we’ve gone around the indoor mall. We didn’t really buy anything. We just enjoyed each other’s company. I sneak a peek down to our intertwined fingers. A smile crept up to my lips. She’s so cute.

As we walked past some of the seniors, their eyes trained on us. The senior girls gave these looks of ‘seduction’; as they would call it. That didn’t bother so, I just ignored them. The only thing that bothers me is, senior guys trying to hit on Darielle. I swear you could see my veins pop up whenever they send a wink or whatever to her. Luckily for me, Darielle doesn’t acknowledge but still, it bothers me.

“Hey Justin?” I looked down to Darielle who had her head turned towards this shop that sells musical instruments. “Can I go inside?” She asked as I looked up at the sign that said: Jake’s Music Shop. I turned my head to her with a curious look on my face. “Since when were you interested in . . . umm, music?” She just shrugged as she tugged down on my arm with puppy dog eyes. Not again.

I mentally groaned but nodded my head. “You go.” I told her. “What about you?” She asked. I shook my head. “I just want to sit out here.” I said, motioning to the bench behind us. She bit her lip and nodded. “Okay. If you’re bored, you can come inside.” She said and I just nodded. She let go of my arm and I went over to sit at the bench. When I did, not even a second; I heard footsteps trotting and two small hands on each side of my face; pulling my head up. “Almost forgot.” Darielle kissed me, passionately.

My eyes were wide in surprise. I was frozen and my body went limp the moment her kiss sent impulses to my whole body. She was in between my legs that were wide apart when I sat. She was the only one who was kissing because I was too chicken to kiss back now.

I knew people were watching even seniors from our school trip. My heart sped up when she sucked on my bottom lip and bit it to pull on it. She pulled away leaving me breathless as I stare up at her with shocked eyes. I bet my lips were swollen. She stared deep into my eyes with a sly smirk across her lips. “Now you’re mine.” She whispered before pecking my nose and walked into the shop. My eyes were locked on her as she swayed her hips. I let out my breath that I held for so long.

As I she made her way into the shop, I noticed there were guys—who were watching the make out session—staring at my girl. I recognized them. They were from the same school trip as us. I definitely can recognize one of them. David; my bully. He was with his posse; watching Darielle from the glass. My hands balled into fists as I listened to their comments on Darielle.

“Damn, she’s gotten even sexier.” David stated.

“Look at that ass. It’s a good thing she wore shorts.” Now, I do kind of should have told Darielle to wear something else.

“I would kill to have those long legs around me.” One of his friends said. I hate him already.

“Bieber sure is one lucky dork.” That’s sort of a good comment but the last bit wasn’t making it better.

“I don’t get what she sees in Bieber. He’s nothing but a weirdo.” Ouch!

“I bet she’s only dating him because she feels sorry for him.” . . . Does she?

“Yeah! It’s definitely out of the box. Someone as sexy as her couldn’t possibly be with a guy like him!”

After that, I stopped listening. Could it be that they were right? Does Darielle only accepted to be with me because she feels sorry? I know she confessed that she loves me but . . . you never know. She might be telling me things that I want to hear. Maybe the kiss that she gave me was just for entertainment. I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair.

              But I love her.

I don’t want to lose her. I’m not ready to lose somebody whom I’ve just learned to love. Acting or not, I would still love her anyway. I sighed; I can’t believe I’m having doubts about this. I decided to ignore the thought and looked over at David and his gang. They were still speaking. I can’t believe they would even think of her like that. They don’t even have any respect for ladies. I swear if they think on touching-.

“Dave, what are you doing?!” Their shouts snapped me from my thoughts. I blinked my eyes to see that David walking his cocky self into the music shop and heading towards Darielle. My eyes widened in panic. Oh no he don’t!

I pushed myself off the bench and marched pass the guys and into the shop. “Shit, that’s Bieber.” One spoke. “You don’t think he would hit Dave, do you?” When it involves Darielle, we’ll find out.

I looked around to find where David was. I walked towards the place where they display the drums and Cajuns. That’s when I saw Darielle sitting on the chair behind one of the drum kit. I smiled in adoration as she looked cute compared to the big drum set. Next thing that I knew, she was banging on the drums.

              Professionally.

Once again, Miss Jones has got me speechless. I never knew she could play that well. Heck, I never knew she could play instruments. She was always unseen in school but she does go for classes. Yet she’s always the top student. She was always first while I was tagging behind her at second. At that time, it didn’t really affect me because I was a wimp at that time and thought I would get my ass whooped even if I congratulated her.

When she was done banging, I wanted to walk up to her and praise her. Until David beat me to it. “Cool arm work, Jones.” He walked in with a cocky smirk. Darielle looked up, not flattered. She looked back down to the drums. “What? Am I not pleasing to your eye, babe?” I wanted to rip his tongue out for calling her that.

“I was expecting for my fiancé, Justin. I’m sure you know him.” She spoke as she stood up and made her way to the drum sticks. He follows her. “What’s so good about that nerd anyway?” He asked, chuckling. “The fact that he has a brain, unlike you.” I snickered at that one. “Hey, I have brain!” He smirked. “Yeah, but you don’t really know how to use it do you?” She remarked.

“Oh c’mon, I bet you only got engaged to the twerp was just you felt sorry for being bullied.” He chortled as if it was the funniest joke he ever told. I could scrape his face with nails.

She turned around with a nonchalant expression but her eyes showed that she was bothered. “I’m not low like you.” She simply answered. “Pfft, he’s too much of a wimp to be sticking around with a babe like you.” I don’t even know why I’m listening to his flabby mouth. “It takes guts to be gentle and kind like Justin.” She defended. I smiled at how cute she was speaking up for me.

David seemed a bit tired of Darielle not giving into his words. “Listen here; I don’t know what the deal with you is. Why are you playing hard to get? It’s the oldest trick in the book. C’mon, quit playing and just have fun with me.” He cooed at the last bit as he backed her up against the wall and trapped her with his arms on either side of her. She turned her head away as he leaned in closer to her face. She tried pushing him away with her martial arts skills but he manage to put her hands and legs in lock.

She’s struggling now. “Nuh uh . . . I mange to go for Judo classes. You know, I get to learn some locking technique.” He smugly grins as he traced his nose down her precious neck. “I’ve wanted to be this close to you ever since freshman year. Finally, you can’t stop me.” He whispered deviously as she struggled under his lock grip.

              She can’t, but I will.
