~Justin’s point of view~

I was absolutely thankful that I’ve finally reached to my destination. I don’t know how long I could stand sitting in the same bus as those two girls. A sigh escaped through my mouth when I got off the bus. I adjusted the bag that had the Tupperware containers filled with mom’s delicious cooking. I lifted my head up to see the apartment in front of me.

My eyes widened in surprise that they could have bulged out from their sockets. She lives here?! The apartment was really tall and looks like it could be a business building for a law company. I exhaled and shook my head. I made my way into the sophisticated-looking building and I went up to the receptionist. It was a guy.

He looked like he was in college. His brunet hair was in a quiff like mine and he had dark brown eyes. He had a posture that wasn’t too slouchy and straight. He seemed like a jock and reminded me of David. I almost scowled at him but I got a hold of myself. “What can I help you with?” He asked without a smile on his face. I breathed heavily before answering.

“Uh yeah. I’m heading to room 18-25.” I told as I showed him the crumpled paper with the address. He glanced at it before his eyes widened in surprise and then look up at me. “Y-You’re meeting up with Darielle?” He asked in disbelief. I nodded at his question as I stuff the note in my pocket.

A surprised chuckle expressed from him as he ran his hand through his hair. “Dude, that girl is a hard wall to break.” I furrowed my eyebrows at his words. “What do you mean?” I asked. He stuffed his hands in his pockets before looking at me with the same look most jocks have. “She could definitely make any guy turned on with just a single movement or even a glance.” When he spoke that sentence, my hands balled into fists and the grip on the bag was tightened.

“I’ve been trying a lot of tricks to get her in bed with me and yet she manages to reject me or any other guy who sees her.” He said. That’s when I had enough. Next thing I was reaching over to him and grabbed him by the collar as I roughly pulled him over the desk. Now, our faces were inches away and I bet he could feel my heavy breathing that would possibly hit his face. My jaw was clenched and I could feel the veins on my neck and arms showing themselves.

The receptionist guy looked shocked yet scared. “You disgust me with your degraded words.” I spat in a hushed tone. He furrowed his eyebrows in perplex. “W-Why?” I exhaled, “Because you’re saying them to her fiancé.” I growled. His eyes widened. He muttered “shit” under his breath.

“The fact that you have intentions of getting her to sleep with you gets me even more pissed off.” I said as my voice became husky. “Of course she would reject guys like you. Unlike you, she has self-respect.” I glanced around the corner of my eye to see that I was causing a scene. I looked back at the guy in the eye. “We’re high-schoolers and you college students have set no good examples in having self-respect and even treating others with it.”

I roughly pushed him back making me stumble until he falls to his chair. I turned to find the elevators on my left. I gave a cold stare at the guy before walking over to the elevators. I read the directory which was displayed on the wall above the buttons. I pressed the ‘up’ button and got inside the elevator.

The doors open when it reached to the 25th floor. I got out and read the directory to room 18. As I searched, I found her place to be at the very end of the floor. My mind wonders why she would pick the far end one. It’s Darielle though. She would most likely pick it because she doesn’t usually like to be around strangers or even anyone. I stared at the number of her room which was nailed against the wooden door. I felt the palm of my hands become clammy. The nerves are really coming at the wrong time.
