-On board-

“Alright, Seniors! This is Captain Del Valle. He has been with this ship for 30 years. He knows every inch of this cruise ship and if you need anything you can ask him or any of the crew on this ship.” We just mumbled, ‘Understood’. “Now, you may explore the ship while I arrange your schedules and your roommates!” Our homeroom teacher proclaims.

I was leaning against the rail when I felt someone roughly pulled me by my collar from behind and make me face them. No surprise, it’s David. “Well, well, well, look who we have on board!” He said with fake enthusiasm. “Looks like the Nerd’s on vacation!” One of his ‘friends’ hollered from behind. I felt my palms getting sweaty. “P-Please l-let me g-go. . .” I stuttered in nervousness.

I can never be a man. “Aww, how adorable!” David fake gushed. I gulped; getting weaker by the second. Without warning, he pushed me roughly ‘til my back hits my back making me groan in pain. David stomps in front of me as his face is dangerously close to mine. I could feel his scary aura. “Listen, Dork! You think you’re so cool just because you walk around with Darielle? You thought wrong! If I see you go near Darielle again, I’ll-.” Before he could finish, a voice spoke up.

“You’ll what?” The guys jump in shock and backed away to reveal Darielle. “U-Umm, I-I’ll. . . I-I’ll. . . Poop. Gotta go!” With that, he and his gang ran away. I sighed in relief. “Why won’t you stand up for yourself?” Darielle asks as she leaned against the railing. I sighed as I rubbed the back of my neck. “I’m just . . . *sighs* . . . Never mind.” I mumbled.

I felt Darielle’s stares but then she looks away. “Listen, your mom wants me to be with you, just to protect you. But, someday soon . . . you’d want a divorce, right?” Darielle remarked. I opened my mouth to say something but then closed it. “You better learn how to defend yourself because I may not always be there.” She said in a calm tone.

I sighed, knowing she was right. "What am I suppose to do? I'm the same height as David and still I can't stand up to him!" I groaned as I plopped myself on one of the beach chairs which were prepared for the tourists who come here. "I'm not buff and I don't even know how to land a punch!" I proclaimed in disappointed.

Suddenly, I felt a weight on my lap. I looked up to see Darielle seated on my lap as her arms were wrapped tightly around my torso as her face came close to mine making my body shake in nervousness. "Wha-What a-are you d-doing?" I stuttered. She smirked making my heart pound. "Don't worry, Justin," The way she says my name makes me all tingly. "I can teach you how and make a few changes." She says seductively at the last word. I gulped.

What am I gettingmyself into?
