After an hour, you realized what Steve was getting you to do. For combat, try to hit weak spots, but not the weakest. We don't kill people.

But eventually, he trained you on your powers. "Okay, throw a beam at me," Steve yelled from across the room while readying his shield. You geared up your hands and black flowed out in perfect swirls. You mustered it up into one clump and shot it at the man.

He stumbled back a few feet with his shield, but remained fine. To show him your worth, you made your powers flow even stronger. You were done showing nothing to these people, they had to see what you could offer.

Steve's feet slipped from under him and he flew backwards from the impact. You quickly stopped and used your telekinesis to catch him in midair. He hovered there, unhurt. You eased him back down and gently let him back on his feet.

"I'm sorry, got a little carried away there. You alright?" You yelled down to him, but you saw him stomp toward you with anger. You took a step back in fright when he stopped in front of you.

"You show me what you got, kid, don't hurt me with it." Steve demanded, and you nodded wordlessly. "I'm going to get Peter so you two get to know one another." With that, he ran off to go find the boy, leaving you standing in the middle of the room.

You felt bad for nearly hurting him, but didn't want to focus on the anger, you wanted to focus on your partner. You needed a strategy to ensure that he could help you out, even though you were much more powerful.

"Peter, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Peter." You looked over your shoulder to see the same boy as yesterday on the jetti. He had on his suit except for his mask, and smiled shyly at you.

HYDRA had taken countless things away from you, including most of your memories and your ability to be fully human, but they didn't take away your feelings. You had grown numb over the years, but since your freedom, you've felt numerous feelings that you completely forgot existed.

And one of the many was love.

The boy standing before you had wavy brown hair that matched his set of doe eyes and much taller then you. You found him absolutely stunning, and immediately got shocked by that since you forgot what that felt like.

You outstretched your hand and Peter took it quickly, shaking it twice. "Hello," you spoke softly, giving him a light smile. "Hi." He answered and pulled back his hand, but not pulling his eyes from yours.

"You two have a lot of training to do." Steve with a clap, breaking you from your trance. "I'll come and check up on you in half an hour?" You two nodded and then the man walked out, closing the door behind him.

"W-Where's your-your suit?" The brunette hesitantly asked, knitting his fingers together repeatedly. "HYDRA." You answered with a shrug, then walked a little bit away.

"Come on, lets practice. I won't go easy on you." You yelled with a playful smirk. That made the boy smile as he pulled his mask over his head.

You two got into a ready position, and you threw the first shot. You threw a ball of black power at him, but he easily dodged, soaring up into the air with the help of what seemed to be webs.

You created another ball, but much bigger this time, and hurled it to where he was going. You got him and it shot him down. He groaned but scrambled up, shooting two webs at you. They latched around your body, forcing your arms to your side. You blinked, and then the webs were gone.

You smirked and lifted the boy into the air, and he clawed at anything to grab. You chucked him across the room, and he caught himself at the last second by attaching a web to the ceiling.

"Wow, I see you fight dirty!" Peter called while perched up on the ceiling. "Okay, lets do this! Karen, activate taser webs!"

You instantly tumbled across the room to get away from his new set of webs, but eventually you weren't fast enough and he struck you. You cried out and fell as your body was shocked with electricity, and you vibrated. You cried out again as your body jerked unwillingly, and finally, it stopped.

You rolled over onto your back and let out a big sigh as Peter jumped down from the ceiling. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I meant to put it on the lowest level possible, I'm—"

"That." You said, interrupting him. "Was awesome! Can we keep on doing this?"

"What, training?" "Yes!" Peter casted you a weird look but shrugged, "I mean sure."

So up until Steve came back, you two were going at it, showing off some of your best moves. You did your whirlwind attack, which was creating a tornado like energy of power and letting it loose around the room. Peter did his leap attack, which was jumping up into the air and sending three different types of web at you.

When Steve walked in, you two were on the floor, laughter filling up the room. Peter had cracked a hilarious joke while attacking you, which put you off guard. Now you were on the floor with Peter, webs wrapped around you, unable to breathe.

"I see that you two are getting along." The adult smirks, tapping his watch. "Your half hour is up, it's time to get cleaned up for dinner, it'll be ready in ten."

"You guys still do that?" You asked while making the webs around you disintegrate. You stood up and brushed off the dirt on your clothes while saying, "I forgot that you lived in the 1940s all your life, my bad, Cap."

Steve rolled his eyes and motioned for the two of you to leave. "Come on, it's now eight minutes, get cleaned up."

You walked out of the room, Peter at your heels. You spun around for a second and asked, "Wanna meet me in my room after dinner? You could show me more board games!"

Peter nodded excitedly, then scurried in the opposite direction. You got dressed and combed your hair while Steve talked to the rest of the Avengers who were already at the table.

"How was (Y/N) with Peter?" Tony asked, then took a sip of the red wine in front of him. "You're not going to believe this!" Steve exclaimed while sitting down in his own chair. That got everyone's attention now, and they all stared at him.

"They get along perfectly! Their chemistry is outstanding, dare I say." Steve spoke proudly. "Can you please not talk all 19th century? It gives me a headache." Tony commented with a snort, making Steve roll his eyes.

You then walked into the room in grey leggings with a fitted top and your hair was nicely brushed. You hadn't felt so pampered since the day HYDRA mistook you for a fugitive and took you in. Ever since that day, they had kept you and rarely let you showered, brush your teeth, and never brush your hair. You had three meals a day and they were always bread, a sandwich, and grapes.

So when you looked down at the dinner table, you were completely blown away. The table was stuffed full, you couldn't even see the table cloth underneath. You moved closer and sat down in the chair that Steve motioned you to and didn't take your eyes off of everything.

There was a full turkey, mashed potatoes, cheesy potatoes, corn, gravy, slices of ham, green beans, strawberries, and celery.

"Wow." You breathed, eyes wide. "But where's the bread? Or the grapes?"

All of the people looked at you funnily for a moment before realizing what you were talking about.

"This is your new life, (Y/N)." Steve said, handing you a steaming bowl of corn. "You're an Avenger now, kid."
