A/N Anulika's picture in media. .................. As I walked through the hallway, all eyes fell on me. Not like I blame them, this building was for SS3 alone and it's never normal for a new student to join into that class even if it was the first term. This is so weird I thought to myself staring at the ground as I made my way to my locker. Honestly were they trying to imitate the American schools on television by keeping lockers in the hallway . Then again Laurels Agnes, the owner of the school was a white woman.
'Oh sorry',I mummered when I walked into someone causing all his books to fall . How typical and very cliché like the movies.'that was my fault' the dark boy in glasses said smiling at me broadly.
'This is going to be a stupid question, but are you new here? I've never seen you' the boy said after we picked his books,causing me to smile.'yes and I know it's strange but I'm in SS3 and I'm guessing you are too' I
Said and he smiled again. 'Wow, welcome to laurels, I'm Joshua Ajayi' he said
'Chukwukaima Okoye but you can call me Kaima if you want' I said. 'so do need help finding your way. The second period is about to start.' Joshua asked.'yes thank you. I guess I'm in SS3B....'I said shuffling through the papers that the plump lady gave me 'nawa your school is big oh' I whispered causing Joshua to laugh. 'It took me a week to stop getting lost...yeah you're in SS3B, too bad I'm in 3C but I'll show you class before going to mine' Joshua said.'thanks' I smiled.'hey,both of you should get to your class and stop wooing the girl before I pounce on you.' A lanky man with yellow beard brawled at us and Joshua pulled me to start walking. 'Who was that' I asked 'our so called janitor as he calls himself. Fancy name for the head cleaner.' Joshua said and I laughed. We finally stopped in of a closed door with a SS3B plaque on it. 'You can wait for me after class if you haven't made any friends at the end of the class. Good luck on your first day,you'll need it' Joshua said and went to his class.
Taking a breath, I walked in the class oh ground,swallow me right now I said to myself as all eyes were suddenly on me 'Good morning ma' I faced the teacher and ignored the comments like 'ahnahn fine girl','omo see babe' and whatnot.'yes my dear,can I help you 'the woman asked and for some reason the class became silent. 'em...this is my class,I'm a new student.'I said.'new student ke in SS3, mi o gbo ri(I've not heard of it before)'she said in surprise.'anyway my name is Mrs Afolayan, and I'm your class teacher. It seems Anulika wants you to sit with her, she has been smiling at you since you entered abi Anulika am I lying' Mrs Afolayan asked the pretty fair girl that smiled.'ok oo go and sit with her 'she said and I turned to go.'wait oh aunty, what is your name ' Mrs Afolayan asked after I had thanked God that she wouldn't.'Chukwukaima Okoye'.I said 'okay Kaima go and sit 'Mrs Afolayan said and I went to my seat avoiding eye contact with anybody. Anulika was still smiling at me as I got to my seat beside her. Our seat was on the second to the last row 'how far, I'm Anulika, welcome to laurels' Anulika said and was interrupted by a guy with a struggling beard .'babe how far na,' he said winking and he was actually kinda cute.'hmmm Fiyin only God will deliver you pervert oshi.'Anulika hissed and the guy named Fiyin frowned.'Anulika I know you are one of the fans but abeg can't I be nice to the new girl again I dey beg you free me.'Fiyin said and I just laughed.'don't mind he'll be chasing skirt there.'Anulika laughed and Fiyin punched her arm playfully.'she just jealous of my charm and looks' Fiyin said to me and Anulika glared at him.'are both of you dating or something' I just had to ask,and Anulika's eyes widened.'ehn me? date Fiyin God forbid'.Anulika said and Fiyin hissed.'she is pretending oh, don't mind her' Fiyin said making me laugh hard luckily Mrs Afolayan had left the class. 'You guys are very funny and kind I'm so glad I didn't have to struggle for friends.'I said and they both smile.'anyway I'm Fiyin Adeosun, nice to meet you' Fiyin said.'so have you met any other person'.Anulika asked.'oh just you guys and Joshua Ajayi.'I said and Anulika looked away for some reason.
