Chapter 65

         "Girls are you ready , I'm worried about the hold up at this time" my mom shouted while Anulika and I giggled as we twirled in front of the mirror in my room making Tiktok videos.  Anulika's dad had dropped her here about an hour ago. We had come home the Sunday after a certain social nite to do graduation shopping which Anulika and I did together with our mums and of course the twins. Then we made our hair for graduation, we both fixed hair extensions with matching styles. "Fiyin said he's already in school. Most efficient " Anulika said staring at her fone while I laughed stuffing the rest of my excursion things into my small box. Anulika and I agreed to only carry things for the excursion to avoid any of the other things getting stolen.  "Jidenna is not coming till tomorrow so he'll meet us at the resort. "  I shrugged and she smirked at me. She had been doing that more often since  I told her of a certain letting loose incident. "Iffa knock you" I said blushing and got back to stuffing my box .The resort we picked was whispering palms while Achievers chose Lachampgne Tropicana. "Chukwuka and Anulika, are we not going again" mum shouted again and this time we rushed downstairs.
        "Why is this  babe sighting me now" Fiyin laughed as we sat for dinner, it was just Fiyin, Theodora and I on our table, In a matter of one week, he had managed to move from looking like Fiyin to looking like sweet boy Fiyin, in fact everyone was looking extra nice, it was like, much studying made us really unattractive.  Theodora looked really pretty especially with her black and blue ass-length braids, Fiyin had a nice fade haircut and his usual struggling beard that he was ever so proud of was now nicely trimmed . "Why would I sight you" I laughed and he grinned, I could see why Anulika liked him so much, it was the same reason I liked Jidenna so much. "Babe, your cousin is here" Anulika said as if that's why she came to my table and sat on Fiyin laps even though Jidenna 's seat was free and unoccupied,  Since we got to school, she had not been able stay away from him for up to thirty minutes.  "Naso , that's why you came abi." I teased and she winked as I stood up and  left the tables giving them the privacy they wouldn't still get since Theodora wasnt ready to leave  the table as she ignorantly  typed on her fone.  "So what  time will you come tomorrow " I asked as I spoke to Jidenna over the fone in the hostel that night and he sounded like he was holding back a laugh. "Hmm, I'm a comedian now, ok what's so funny" I asked imagining how cute he'd  look, "nothing, you said what time am i gonna cum" he said and burst out laughing to which I just had to join. "You nasty frog" I laughed and facepalmed myself for not  coming up with something  better. "So in the frog and the princess  kissing the frog, who  is more demeaning " he teased and I would have given him a finger if he could see me, I saw Anulika enter my room with her ceremonial blue hair net and night wear  as she made way to my bed, she definitely had an issue with her own bed as always  "So your really not gonna video chat huh, I want to see that cute face naw" he said surely  with a pout if I could see him, "nah uh, you see me when you arrive tomorrow " I said careful with my words while he laughed again, I was enjoying the deep melody of his voice when my fone was peeled from my ear. I didn't even notice that Anu had climbed  my bed.  "Heyss ma nigga" she said speaking to Jidenna , "you're definitely the nigga between us, what's up" Jidenna said and I laughed. "I'm cool, I just wanted to tell to bring plenty money and food tomorrow " Anulika said and Jidenna laughed, "no problem, Fiyin has told me  to bring food already sef. You guys are the perfect pair" Jidenna said and Anulika nodded like he could see her. "Sha be fast and let Kaima sleep her beauty sleep. If you see your baby girl's  glow" Anulika said excitedly and I snatched my phone back  while she shrugged smiling and took out her own phone, "glow hmm" Jidenna  said in his teasing voice. "Hmm.. shut up and goodnite" I said laughing, I wasn't about to listen to his teases. "Aww come on nah . " he said ,"byebye." I said cutting  the line. "Both of you have problem sha" Anulika said and went back to her phone

     "This place is lit " Anulika said excitedly as we settled into our hut crib at whispering palms the next afternoon. We had left school with our bags that morning in the school coaster buses and arrived at the twelve pm at the resort, between walking from the bus to the beach houses that were to serve as our hotel rooms, I could already tell this was going to  be a very fun excursion. They had swimming pools,cafeterias, sourvernier shops, asun and suya spots, volleyball court, game arcade and a freaking beach,  the beach house we were staying was so nice, it had three queensized canopy beds in each room, a relaxation spot to get views of the beach and and even an indoor bar. Every thing was just so pretty and nice. "I'm sleeping on the left side oo" Anulika said rummaging through her small bag and scattering her skincare products on the bed we had to share, she was a product freak when it came to her smooth fair skin while I achieved mine easily with just sheabutter and coconut oil. "I just knew it, you're scared of waking up and seeing beach first " i teased and  she snickered at me. "Na your own be that, shey you won't change , Jidenna will soon  come oo" she grinned pushing me into the bathroom while I sighed.
       " The twins have finally decided decided to grace us with their presence. "  I saw a  teasing smirk on an over familiar pair of lips as Anulika and I  walked up the  cafeteria that Laurels students had agreed to meet for dinner before we hung out on the beach and I rolled my eyes at Jidenna trying to hide my smile. "So you  didnt have accident when you were coming here." I said playfully sitting on his lap conscious of the fact that Mr Jimi and Miss Oluchi were close by . Did I mention they had to "supervise "us on our excursion ."Nawa oo, you've been spending too much time with Anulika. She's already teaching you bad things." Jidenna said playing with the ends of my hair while Anulika furrowed her brows at him before asking for the food that he had promised her.

                "That was grilled fish at it's finest." Anulika said reminiscing about our earlier dinner while I laughed . The food was indeed incredible but the oyster did not agree with Anulika's stomach because almost immediately after the dinner she told me to follow her back to the beach house to use the toilet because she was totally scared of the dark especially since we were on the beach side. "Are you  going to come in, " Anulika asked as she scurried inside while I shook my head. "Im enjoying the beach breeze jare, " I said already texting Jidenna who had followed Fiyin  to explore. "If you go and leave me here ehn, I'll  soo kill you" Anulika said and I laughed.  "Um, rude. Couldn't you kick your ball else where " I shouted a little embarrassed as a small ball hit my ass from one of the group of guys playing not far from the house. "Oh shit I'm sorry , that was honestly a mistake, I swear." One of the guys from the groups ran up to meet me and retrieve his ball and apologize but I didn't bother looking at him. "Fuck, Chukwuka I had no idea it was you. " The guy said making  me suddenly look up at him and there before me was David Eluchie, Aka my first crush when I was just ten , Aka the boy that told me that he would marry me when we grow up .  I liked him when he first moved beside our house and he was twelve years at that time while I was ten. He always came over to play with me every Sunday when his parents were busy. Then I started crushing on him and by fourteen , he was already a little pre-teen dream boy. Soon after I confessed  to having a crush on him, his family had to move away again and he told me that in the future ,we'd meet again and get married. Now he was here, in front of me, looking like someone from JMK modeling  magazine for dark dudes. This was gonna be a hell of a week.
