Chapter 66

  Jidenna  POV

            "So have you told Kaima, " Fiyin asked as we played arcade games at one of the recreational houses . "Tell her that what," I cocked a brow at him,  He was probably trying to distract me by bringing up Kaima which he was succeeding, I was so speechless when I saw her earlier, Not being cliche but when I thought she couldn't get prettier,  she left me completely stunned. "That you got the Sat scholarship " Fiyin said in a duhh voice, and I dropped my controller. "Hmm, so your brain stopped as soon as you saw her" Fiyin said shaking his head and I frowned at him. "Shut up joo, I just forgot" I said looking away. "Forget hmmm," Fiyin said giving one suspicious  look. "Oya I'll remind you immediately she comes" he said and I shook my head.  "Don't bring it up, I didn't forget. See I just don't know how to tell her, she thinks I'm going to Afe" I said and Fiyin bit his lip. "What are you talking about , oya explain to uncle Fiyin " Fiyin said and I glared at him."See we haven't really talked about that and..........." I was saying as Anulika interrupted announcing her presence. It was then that I noticed the stranger smiling broadly at Kaima like she was his priced jewel just recovered. I mean she was a priced jewel but definitely not his . Who the hell was he anyway. "Hmm, Kaima won't you tell us who your friend is" Fiyin decided to do the honors of the questioning. "Yh, um David , these are Fiyin and Jidenna, Fiyin is Anulika's  boyfriend  and Jidenna is my..." She was saying with a huge smile "Boyfriend " I completed her sentence with a daring look at David. "Hmm, how cute. So you guys complete each other's sentences." David said mockingly and I glared at him while Fiyin raised a brow, Anulika rolled her eyes and Kaima actually laughed. "I'm David,  I used to be Kaima's neighbors and her bestfriend" he said  "ex bestie sha" Anulika said . "Yeah whatever , Kaima can we talk " I said when David continued  talking to Kaima and holding her hands, probably catching up on old times which I cared less about, "Hey, why are you frowning,  you don't need to visit the toilet too" Kaima asked as I walked her away from 'David' . " Really, your former best friend. " I said frowning . "Oh my goodness,  you're jeolous aren't you "Kaima teased laughing while I frowned at her , she really thought this was funny, "I'm not jealous, I just don't like his vibe  " I crossed my arms staring down at her. "His vibe hmm, better tell me if you're jeolous  ooo" Kaima laughed and it was hard not to smile at her.  "I'm not jeolous, don't feel  yourself " I said with a smirk and she grinned. "Ok oo, so you won't go haywire because he promised to marry me when we're older" Kaima grinned and my eyes went wide. Did she say marry, highly ridiculous ."Hmm,Jesse. Don't over think it ooo . I'll see you later" Kaima teased and left with a wink.

       "Ok, I don't like that guy" Fiyin said as he handed me a coconut with a straw in it and sat beside me on the sand watching the girls hanging around the shore praising David who was showing off his diving skills . Would I be evil to wish he'd drown there and be taken to the hospital,  away from us. "Kaima has been spending the entire time with him, now Anulika is intruiged too" Fiyin said glaring too. "A fucking showoff" I murmured annoyed, I don't  know what  sucked more, the irritating  coconut water or the fact that I was scared of large bodies of water so I couldn't just go over there and get my girlfriend back.
      "So you are back from your temporary boyfriend " I quipped hating the way I was sounding so jeolous and possessive. "Oh my goodness, he was just showing us how to keep our bodies afloat when swimming ." She said innocently,  maybe I was reading too much into this. "Never mind, I just miss you. I thought we'd be able to spend time alone ,just you and me" I said defeated and she smiled hugging. "You know tonight's the campfire, we get to spend all the time we wasn't together. "She said and I sighed .

  "Sup bro," I heard behind me before a not so gentle shove followed as I was walking towards the lounge to present the necklace I bought from the sourvernier seller. "Not in the mood, David " I said and continued walking.  "Cmon, I've noticed you're possessive of Kaima, n that's why you hate me"David threw a arm over my shoulder to which I rolled my eyes. I certainly wasn't ready to start 'bonding' with the guy trying to eye fuck  my girl. "I don't hate  you, just get the heck off me." I growled at him.  Could he just slip into..... maybe a coma or something.  "Guy chill na. Is it not bros before bitches" he chided with a smirk. I wanted to yell at him that we weren't bros or any of sorts but I ignored him. Silence was the best answer for you know. I wondered what he wanted anyways, probably just to provoke me. "You really need to chill ok, you don't scare me. Besides no amount of your huffing is gonna stop me from fucking the hell out of Kaima before she leaves and I..." I didn't wait for the end of his bloody statement before I punched him hard on his jaw that I felt it move. "Bloody...." he was saying again probably still trying to comprehend what the hell was going on while I hit him again in the stomach. I felt livid while I beat him nearly half to death as a crowd began forming around us, some hailing and some shouting for us to stop. "Y'all  are standing like a bunch of buffoons instead of separating them" Miss Oluchi screamed running to the scene with a surprised looking Anulika , satisfied looking  Fiyin and  very disappointed look from Kaima, "You want to embarrass the school,  ehn Jidenna,  see his face . Do you want to kill him" Miss Oluchi yelled while the crowd mostly dispersed. "Guy what happened, " Fiyin said walking up to meet me. The bastard had managed to hit my nose hard enough to break it and it had become a bloody mess but other than that,  he was the one beaten almost to a pulp by yours truly. "Kaima" I called reaching her side, I almost cowered away by the glare she gave me, as if I was at fault. "Kaima I...." I was about to start explaining. "Don't bother " she said coldly before following  the boys helping to take David to get  first aid or what ever.  "Did you fucking see that, once again she picked him over me" I complained to Fiyin , "Dude ,just calm. She's  just angry and probably embarrassed, but you really need to do something about you nose before you lose all the blood in your head," Fiyin said handing a handkerchief to my throbbing nose.
