'Oh my God,' I screamed as the mixture met my face.' That...I...'I could hear surprise in Jidenna's voice. Like he wasn't glad. 'Kaima!!' Anulika screamed and I heard someone scream to get Mr Jimi, while I could do nothing. I couldn't even see and the mixture was hurting my face.' Jesus Christ. What happened.' I finally heard Mr Jimi's voice.' Oya fast fast, take her to the nurse. I'm coming' he said and I felt arms around me.' Don't worry Kaima, it's me' I heard Fiyin say.' Now somebody tell me what happened. Or you are all in trouble.' Mr Jimi shouted after we had left.' Em sir, it's my fault. It was an accident. I'm sorry sir.' Jidenna said remorseful. 'How were you so clumsy. I should have listened to Kaima and changed her. Mr Jimi said and left the class.
'We should just thank God that it is not HCL or H2SO4 that this boy poured on her face. I gave he a cream to rub on her face to stop the irritation.' Nurse Ola said to my mum when she came.' Kaima, sorry hmm.' Anulika said for like the hundredth time since came to the school clinic. 'Em ma I'm sorry for what happened, I didn't mean for it to happen.' Jidenna said to my mum suddenly appearing at the door. 'So my boy you are the one' my mum said before I could talk.'I'm sorry ma, it was a careless accident' Jidenna said bowing his head. So he can be humble like this. 'Don't worry, Kaima has forgiven you. At least her face didn't burn. Just be careful ooh bye. Seriously mum . 'Oya let's be going.' My mum said and I stood 'let me go and get her bag' Anulika said.'thank you my dear.' Mum sighed. I turned to look at Jidenna, sure enough he was avoiding my gaze. 'Kaima bye.' Anulika said as I left.
'Can your guys please stop looking at me like that. It's getting really annoying.' Jidenna said when he was getting bad looks from Anulika and Fiyin while they were having break.' But guy that was bad ooh.' Fiyin finally said.'yh what if it burnt her. You actually have to be very careful with Kaima' Anulika said.' You know what, I'm sick of the accusations, I'm going.' Jidenna said and left.
'Kay dear, how are you feeling.' Anulika called to check up on me that night.' I'm good, it's really nothing. The irritation has gone, I just had to wash my hair because of the strong urine smell,' I said. 'Ok don't mind Jidenna, he's a big goat. And he was angry that we dont want to accept that it was an accident, he said if it was Fiyin or me that did it everybody will forget. Very stubborn boy' Anulika said and I laughed. ' Actually, it's true. You guys should not blame him. I was shouting at him and he mistakenly banged the table when he wanted to shout back.' I said.' Maybe he wants you to bleach. Honestly Jidenna is my friend but he likes to chop craze sometimes.' Anulika said.'can you see Fiyin has started with his status again. Hey have you finished buying your hostel things. You know tomorrow is Thursday,' Anulika asked.' Yeah kind of.' I said.'
