Chapter 59

         "Fiyin,  hope you slept well" Mr Salami said after his long sermon which he gave after pasting our WAEC timetable in our class, Fiyin rolled his eyes and bowed his head back on his table. "Better know what you are doing, WAEC starts upper week" He shook his head and  walked out of the class. "Youve been sleeping  since oo. We have Phyics now oo" Anulika  said to him over her shoulder to which he gave her a thumbs up and kept his head back on the table, "is he ok, he's  been acting like this since yesterday dinner. " I asked Jidenna whilst staring at a worried Anulika. "Guy whats up now, are you  cool" Jidenna asked touching Fiyin's shoulder which he shrugged off. "I'm fine ooo. Just stressed and you guys are making noise na" He complained folding his arms and laying back on his chair to sleep.
          "Exams don land finish ooo" Anulika yawned as she came to my room to wait for me to get dressed  after siesta which i slept so quick . Fiyin was right about the stress."Do you think Fiyin is okay ?  " I asked Anulika who bit her lower lip."I don't know ooo, its odd to see him like this. Maybe he's home sick or having exam fever" she sighed and I knew  she was genuinely  worried about, they were always my favourite couple, any day.      "Fiyin is in the sick bay," Jidenna said frowning as we got to my table for dinner. "Why. What happened " Anulika asked her countenance suddenly falling. "Nurse Ola said he has a blood infection or poisoning, i dont even get. He's  been vomiting since after school, " Jidenna said running his fingers through his hair. "We finally got him to sleep sha but he's on drip there because we couldn't get him to eat without vomiting. The nurse said if he doesn't  get better by Wednesday,  he'll  have to go home to be treated." Jidenna said rubbing his eyes. "Im going to the clinic" Anulika whispered, which she only had when she was in pain or bitter. 
       "I'm so tired of this shit, Fiyin doesnt fall sick so why now." Jidenna complained placing his head on my shoulder the next afternoon,  Fiyin was no better. He was already looking skinny which was bad cuz he was already thin before, his eyes were red and it was heartbreaking  to see him try to smile especially  for Anulika who cried when he did . She had been  with him since morning and he had vomited in her laps thrice today already. "He going to be fine, you better not worry too much or you'll  fall sick. Anulika is  already getting me worried. " i frowned and he nodded. "Nurse Ola has called his mum, you know he's  mommy's  boy. She was yelling that they didn't call sooner. She's  not in Lagos sha, so anyway, his dad and sister are coming to pick him tomorrow  morning,first thing." Jidenna said and I knew how much  he'd miss his best friend. Everywhere  was even already boring with him lying sick."I just hope it won't get worse that it is, exam is upper week" I shuddered  and Jidenna smiled weakly. "Dont tell me, your scared. You're gonna pass." He smiled and I nodded. "What the... Anulika just texted me that Fiyin's sister, her husband  and his dad are here" I said jumping off the desk where I was sitting and packed my bag before I left with Jidenna.
             "Fiyin, Kilo sele nah ( What's wrong now)" we met the tall beautiful  lady asking feeling his temperature with her hand as we got to the bay. "Ehn,  Oyinbo, how are you. " his dad asked Jidenna who smiled and responded. "Daddy , Sis Feyikemi and uncle Eri,that's Kaima, Anulika's bestie and Jidenna's friend" he said with a coy smile while Jidenna shot him a glare while his brother-in-law laughed getting the message. "How are you my dear" his dad asked after his sister and brother inlaw waved and smiled warmly to which I greeted the second time . "Mrs Fadipe hope I'm staying in your place cuz me I cannot stay with daddy when mummy isn't around " Fiyin joked coughing after his dad had gone to sign his exit form. "O boy we are taking you straight to the hospital " Iya Kemi is coming back very early tomorrow morning " his sister said to which he grumbled, "Jidenna pls help me get his bag from the hostel,  Babe pls show him where the car is" his sister said to Jidenna  and her husband while Fiyin kept holding  on to Anulika. "Are we set. " Mr Adeosun said when he came back to which his first daughter  nodded.  "Ok thank you guys for taking care of Fiyin, Anulika love, ure frowning too much. He's gonna  be back say next week " His sister said hugging Anulika  and I before she ruffled Jidenna hair. She was eloquent and prim. I wonder where they got Fiyin from. "Ogbeni be fast and let's go." Fiyin's bro in law grinned and turned with his wife when he noticed Fiyin was still holding Anulika's hand. "Be strong bro" Jidenna playfully punched Fiyin's shoulder while he winced smiling.  "Get well soon Fiyin , I need my gossip partner back" I said hugging him and he laughed . "You better don't die" Anulika said hugging him and wiping a stubborn tear from rolling  down her cheek, "
Babe, I'll be fine, I'm Fiyin  na" he winked at her. "Shut up joo goat" she said and kissed him,while I cooed them and Jidenna smiled. "Fiyinfoluwa Samuel Adeosun"  his sister suddenly  shouted obviously  seeing the show too while her husband laughed  out loud.  "Ma I'm coming already"  He shouted back at him big sister before returning to Anulika  lips . "I love you. " he said when he finally let her go and rushed towards his brother-in-law jeep while Anulika blushed wildly.
