'Kaima are you okay,' my mum asked when I got home and rushed to my room immediately after my predicament, 'mummy Im fine.' I said when she came knocking on my door.' Ok but are you not coming down to eat.' She asked trying to get me to talk about today.'I ate before coming home' I said.'so does that mean you will not help with dinner.' My mum said. This woman will not give up sha.' Mummy, I'm having cramps.' I lied hoping she'll go away and thank goodness that worked. 'Oh baby, I'll come and wake you when diner is ready .' She said 'thank you mum.' I said and rushed to the bathroom. As I was leaving school, I saw more than half of the hostel students hanging around,so Jidenna practically just saved my life. Because I cant imagine having half of the school staring at my bloodied skirt. But Jidenna saw it. I blushed removing his cardigan, and put it in the washing machine. 'Hello, Anulika.' I said after taking a bath.' Hey girl, are you okay.' I asked her because of her shaky voice. 'Yes. No. I was chatting with Joshua and he told me that he likes me.' Anulika said.' Awwn that's cute.' I smiled.' No, that is not awwn, I'm with Tobe.' She said. 'Ehn cant you break up with him. Abeg dont dull yourself joor.' I said. I was happy for Anu but what was she looking for in three boys.' Kaima ,you dont understand. Tobe is blackmailing me to stay his girlfriend, because of what we've done together.' She said and my eyes nearly popped out.' Did you have s..' I started but she cut me off.' No ah..see eh I cant say it on fone, my mum can be listening ohh. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Gud night' Anulika said and cut the line. obviously she was feeling strange.' My sweetheart' Fiyin texted me next.'who is sweet,abeg ooh' I texted back and he sent a crying emoji.'I just joined in the groupchat ooh. I hope you're not one of those people that send all these bc with threat,like if you don't send to fifteen people you will die. Those people are disgusting, I remove them sharpily.' he texted and I laughed to my self.' Fiyin are you even a christian at all.' I texted.' Before nko. Abi do I look like sango worshipper.' Fiyin texted.'smh anyway why did you decide to text me. What happen to the girls that used to make your night.' I texted.'you're making my nite now, just wait I'll post it on my status now.' Fiyin texted and I immediately I saw a small circle in front of status. I checked it and I saw my picture which he had probably taken in school when I wasn't looking. 'Ive become one of your victims like that abi, well done ooh.' I texted him.' Lol, Jidenna is video calling me from up bunk. I know you'll say we're senseless but join us.' Fiyin texted. Ehn I cant let Jidenna see my slightly scattered room, my rough bed hair and my miraculous ladybug spaghetti strapped nightie top and shorts.' Nooo, I'm going to bed now sef.' I texted Fiyin knowing it was barely six o,clock.' Okayoo gudnite ' Fiyin sent along with the winking emoji.
Immediately,I stopped chatting with Fiyin, I was bombarded with chats from Lota and Joshua on how I made Fiyin's evening.
The next morning, I woke up with terrible pain up my back. My monthly visitors that escorted my period were here. Their names are cramps and nausea, and this time they came with a friend called banging headache.' Chukwuka, is everything okay.'I heard my mum sho7t from outside my room.' Yes ma' I screamed more of pain .' Ok be fast if you want me to drop you because you're already missing your first period now.' She said
How ironic. 'Ok. I said almost crawling to the bathroom, strange how these things never warn me. After bathing and putting on my uniform,the pain had reduced a bit.' What happened ehn.' My mum asked when I got downstairs. 'Menstrual cramps.' I whined.' I told you not to eat that cake last night.you even took the icing ,anyway will you stay at home then.' My mum asked and I was tempted to say yes but if was in boarding house, no one will offer that. 'I'll go,I just need my drug.' I said, ' and that one is finished. Will you manage paracetamol.' My mum asked.'em yes.' I replied even though I knew paracetamol wouldn't do anything.'oya eat something so you'll take it. Sorry eeyah.' My mum said and picked a kemps biscuit cause everything else would be irritating at the moment.'my baby ,dont worry it'll probably stop after you get married.' My mum said and I almost rolled my eyes. African parents, instead of them to say when you have sex.they believe their children will marry virgins,I'm just saying.
