        "No way, that would be the death of me" I protested. "What's the big deal. He's already your friend. He's been so nice to you" Lota said and I shot her a murderous look before she raised her hands shutting up." Its just a letter. I was dared to ask Biyi out and I  don't regret it one bit" Tolani blushed. "Anulika now. You know Jidenna is unpredictable. He can go from liking me to hating me" I pouted at her. "Fine you dont have to give him buh just write it" Anulika said and I jumped on her while the others complained. "But if you vex us, we'll give him" Lota said and I laughed. "Okk ill write it." I smiled standing to get a paper and pen from my bag. "Finally ,lemme go and wash jare" Princess stood first.  "Wait ooo. Has the truth and dare finished like that, Tolani and Princess have not even done" I complained thinking of what to write. "Oh cousin , you still dont get it huh" Lota said wearing her hair net. " you guys just wanted me to write him a love letter. So you planned this ehnn" I couldn't believe them. They got me. "Lota suggested it.  You know I love you. "Anulika blew me a kiss when I frowned at her while Tolani was laughing hysterically.

      "Kaima. I thought you didn't want to give it to him" Lota came to ask me during breakfast the next morning as Fiyin was trying to steal me plantain. Jidenna wasnt on the table" of course nt" my cheeks burned as I remembered the way they were laughing and screaming awwn as Lota read the letter to them. After all the teasing around. We  threw it in the room bin and they promised not to speak on it again ,of course their fake promises because Anulika whispered a line I wrote while on the assembly. "Em , I  went to Jidenna for the key to the blue house equipment room and I saw him reading something" she whispered and I spat out my biggi apple on Fiyin. " I won't take your plantain again" he complained buh my heart was beating too loud to hear him. "Who gave him" I whispered horrified, I knew this was a bad idea. "I dunno . Princess and I left together this morning and I swear I still saw it in the bin when we left" Lota said staring at." Ill ask Tolani, she disposed the trash. Mayb you should meet Anulika. Oh shit" Lota said and I ran my hands through my long hair plaited all back. "What if  I see him. This is so embarrassing. " I frowned while Fiyin was starting to stare at me. "He's helping Mrs Adekunle in the physics lab. Buh listen. He didn't look angry just surprised and he laughed a little.  He didn't even want me to see sef." She said. "He thinks im pathetic. " I sighed. "Heyyy. Im here" Anulika appeared from nowhere and Fiyin held her hand smiling at her, As much as I wanted to tease them , I had major issues right now. "Anulika he knows " I said as she sat on the edge of the table and immediately she stood getting the message buh not without spilling Fiyin's yorgout on his jeans. " are you kidding me ." He  threw his hands up. "Im sorry b" Anulika said and I just had too smile. " youre gonna have to lick it off " he winked laughing. "Yh in your dreams" Anulika said turning red like a tomato. Good thing I wasn't fair like her. What's going on with you girls anyway. You seem hyper." Fiyin asked collecting the tissue Lota gave him. "Argh what the f***, it now looks like wank. I have to change this in hostel. " Fiyin growled."im sorry" Anulika pouted and pecked him before he grinned widely.  " no problem, im better" he said and we laughed. "Oh shit he's coming" lota whispered and turned to see Jidenna coming.  "Oh my Gosh, this is bad" I whispered. " hey b can you take Jidenna with you to  the hostel" Anulika said." Why, what's going on. " seriously Fiyin, not d right time .  "Ill tell you later just go" I almost screamed and he left. He just placed his arm on Jidenna's  shoulder, whispered few words and Jidenna left with him . "Fiyin can be really nosy at times. " I said clasping and unclasping my wristwatch, I did that whenever I was nervous , "  hey,  Tolani pls come" Lota shouted as she saw tolani coming to the hall. "Wassup" Tolani said getting to us.. "  Do you know where Kaima's letter is." Anulika asked and I stared at her anxiously,  " ahnahn nooo I didn't even see it when I going to dispose. I thought she even took it back. Shit it's missing" She said eyes widen and I sunk to my seat. "Who na took it nah. Do people now start going through other people trash in that hostel. " I said as tears threatened to flow
Im not a crybaby but this was fucking embarrassing. " gosh , I remember. Esosa was going round 'searching' for her earrings.  Shit,  she's the one" Tolani said and I threw my hands to my head. "That bitch. She heard what we were saying. How shallow" Anulika said.
       " Lemme talk to Jidenna and know if he's angry. Babes just calm down." Anulika said comforting me while I laid my  head on my desk incase he came in. He and Fiyin had not returned from the hostel. " Good morning sir" I heard Fiyin's voice and quickly buried my head in the note I was writing. " mr Adeosun and mr Arinze- collins this is revision week,  better be available because your exam is coming from what I will be revising with you. Because you are smart doesn't mean you should not listen in class" mr Bola said " yes sir" Jidenna voice said this time and I raised my head a little and saw his smiling face whispering something to Fiyin as they made their way to their seat which I wasn't at their front anymore. I had agreed to do Anita's assignment to switch seats in her because her seat was almost invisible to where I sat with Anulika and the boys. I saw Jidenna narrow his eyes to Anita as she sat in my seat and then he turned to look around stylishly. Then he tapped Anulika's shoulder and I froze but he just asked for her pencil

      Immediately the bell went for break, I rushed to the bathroom for Jidenna and Fiyin to leave the class before I would go back to skip lunch. I would avoid him till he forgot about the stupid letter.
   I rinsed my face that was starting to get an headache from all this hide and seek. I arranged my skirt and walked out of the bathroom to the quiet hallway. Laurels students carry noise with them. I got into the class and sat on my normal seat sighing and began Anita's assignment. The lights went off suddenly and it was dark due to the curtains for the windows and tinted glasses, I  rolled my eyes and immediately the lights came back on. I hissed,  standing to increase the ac. Then I saw him, standing by the door arms folded watching me and I died for three seconds what was jidenna doing here. I screamed in my heard. Acting like I didn't notice him, I grabbed my purse immediately remembering that I wanted a bottle of water from the tuck shop. I was just going to pass through like he was invincible and then run.
      I hurriedly  passed by him buh he was quicker to hold my wrist without much effort. He dragged me back that I almost  fell on him. "Why are you avoiding me " he whispered  so lightly I almost didn't hear it. Almost.
