"Ahn ahn now. Its not funny" I grumbled as Fiyin poured his pepsi on my head. "Oops, sorry my hand slipped" he said with a sarcastic smile while Jidenna stared at me in pity knowing I couldn't do anything as today was February 12th aka the day before my birthday, so far im covered milk, pepsi, soap and even Ty sprayed me with a fire extinguisher which Jidenna gave him a black eye for because some of the dust got into my eyes. Even Anulika betrayed me by pouring yorgout in my bra "Dont you think she's had enough" Jidenna asked as someone ran and rubbed toothpaste on my neck and they all turned to him, ready to fire when he raised up his hands in defence. "Enough, fuck off bitches" Anulika screamed as some guys ,I didn't even know were in ss3 came with plates of custard, we weren't even eating custard till next tomorrow. The boys hissed and backed off, obviously scared of Anu. "People that wont talk to you normally will na come and pour rubbish on me. Wo, I will just slap you" she glared at their backs and we all had to laugh."Babe calm down" Fiyin whispered to her and she relaxed placing her head back on his shoulder.
"Happy birthday baby girllll for life" Anulika screamed jumping on my bed and interrupting my sleep at exactly 12am."thank you" I yawned before she pulled me into a tight hug. "Happy birthday Kaima" Princess said waking up from her that was induced by trying to read economics note at night."thank you" I giggled as she saw the note she was reading, hissed and packed it up before getting comfortable to sleep on her bed. "Jidenna said while Anulika and Fiyin were cooing and awwing and I was blushing madly,"oga save it for the card joo.......oww" Fiyin said and was rewarded with a punch from his bestie "Happy birthday melanin baby" Fiyin said rubbing his shoulder with a huge smile and I smiled. "Thank you so much" I said while Jidenna winked. "Heyss, youre not supposed to see her till when we leave the hostel. So byeee" Anulika said cutting the line as Fiyin grinned at her. "Good, now get some sleep baby girl, im going to dress you up for today. I even have an outfit for social night" Anulika said excitedly and I could only smile and sleep
"Anulika, I look fine. Please lets go" I grumbled as Anulika sprayed my body with perfume. She made sure I was wearing my shortest and well ironed uniform, made sure I rubbed my body with coconut oil saying it'll make my skin' pop' and it actually did. She loosened my rough cornrows and packed a tight and neat doughnut,thankfully, then she layed my edges and I had to admit ,I looked beautiful. "Can we go now, we already missed assembly, I wonder why ms coker hasn't sent us out" I said picking up my bag and pulling on my shoe ." Duhh, her boyfriend is around na. In her apartment. Im sure they're still fucking. The guy is fine sha" Anulika said as if it was so natural to think of your hostel mistress and her boyfriend having sex on an early Friday morning. "Lets go" Anulika said and popped a mentos in my mouth while I frowned at her."what na, we prepare for incase. Oya lets move." She grinned and we left

"Kaima!!! Happy birthday" I heard from different sides as I entered the dining hall. "Happy birthday baby girl. You look so cute" Theodora smiled and quickly took a selfie with me. "hey happy birthday" Joshua and Nonso said coming to hug me. Nonso hug is no so light compared to Lota who wanted to squeeze breath out of me. My roommates all gave me gifts and bear hugs this morning making me cry. "Make way ooo" I heard Fiyin's voice from the back the birthday wishing crowd followed by gasps and cooing. "Whats that " I asked raising my brows at Anulika who just smiled. "Oh my goodness" I whispered speechless as Jidenna made his way to me with a bouquet of white roses he most have ordered this morning because they looked so fresh. I didn't even know we had white roses in Nigeria. "Happy birthday Queen" he whispered giving me the flowers and kissed me. This was the first time he was kissing me in school and I freaking loved it , so did almost everyone judging by their clapping, hooting, awwing and singing. "He never got me flowers" I heard a bitchy high pitched snicker as soon as we ended the kiss and knew who it was instantly. "Duhh, cuz youre no queen Esosa, you were a freaking side chic even though there was no msain chic" Anulika said and my eyes widened, so did Jidenna's and almost everyone in the hall. "Holy fuck, that was loud" Fiyin said touchin, everybody seemed to forget Anulika was the savage queen of comebacks, "Anulika stop pls" I said genuinely feeling sorry for Esosa, she wasn't so bad, just a girl that was obsessed with my man. Pfft, he wasn't my man , at least nt yet. "Come on, let's go" He said and we went to my table with Esosa glaring at my back.
