Chapter 12

  Kaima's pov
     'Awwn,your dress looks nice.' Tolani, my bunk mate said as I was about to leave my room to meet Anulika before it was time to join the bus for church the next morning. Yep we had to follow the bus to a nearbly church every Sunday  'Ahahn,see the babe. I like your dress. I love Sundays. It's the only day we can wear what we like, I cant even imagine wearing a uniform to church' Anulika said and I shook my head at her.
   'Nawa oh for that preacher, does he not know some of us are hungry.' Fiyin complained after we finished the service but we were hanging out near the church because the bus driver and teachers that followed us were still chatting. 'I swear,it's only God that can deliver you' I said shaking my head in disbelief and Anulika laughed.' Leave him oo,normally he sleeps throughout the service to even notice that he is hungry, but because he doesn't want you to nab him, he didnt sleep today. nonsense boy' Anulika said and we all laughed. 'Jayna' I heard a little girl scream and I looked in the direction to see Jidenna throw the girl up and catch her as he chuckled and she giggled. Earlier,I couldn't stop staring at him while the preacher was preaching. I'm such a hypocrite. But Jidennaa looked extraordinarily handsome today in a plain white shirt with rolled up sleeves and black jeans. He threw the girl up and caught her again laughing. It was strange seeing this side of an always cold Jidenna.' Oh that's Osewhe, Jidenna's baby. Well he calls her that. She comes with the Gentle dove orphanage to church and she loves Jidenna, like no one else. Her mum abandoned her at the Gentle dove hospital and ran away. Jidenna takes care of her like his sister,always bringing gifts and his provisions for her.' Anulika explained when she saw me staring at them.' That's so kind and nice.' I whispered, ' yeah Jidenna is totally caring that's why I became his friend apart from the fact that he's Fiyin's bestie. That one is just a mumu. You see what I'm saying' Anulika said shaking her head as we watched Fiyin go to try and carry Osewhe who screamed not wanting to leave a laughing Jidenna before Fiyin tried luring her with a sweet. 'Fiyin you're not contented with your mates abi that you have started trying to seduce babies,' Lota shouted as Osewhe finally allowed him carry her after collecting the sweet and Fiyin winked.
   'Abeg they should quickly call prefects joor,   I don't know why Mr Salami has been calling me to lead assembly. I hate it' Anulika complained after assembly on Monday and I smiled.' What if you are going to be assembly prefect ko' I chided and she frowned, 'God forbid, anyway that is if I will be a prefect sef. But seriously, assembly prefect, that's sad.' Anulika said and I laughed. I wonder what prefect, Jidenna would be. He fits headboy. Hmm Kaima well done ooh.' Abeg why are this one's making noise.' Anulika complained when we entered the class and everybody was murmuring. We got to our seat and only Fiyin was sitting down.' Why the noise.' I asked Fiyin when I sat in  front of him.' That girl is back. What is her name sef. Ehm yes,Esosa.' Fiyin said with a snare. He obviously did not find this Esosa person attention worthy because I mean, it's Fiyin we're talking about. He like anything that wears a skirt, so this Esosa girl was probably very bad.' Iyama(*disgust expression) I thought she was relocating to "Colombia", she'll now come and be forming one stupid accent.'  Anulika said in equal disgust and I laughed 'Ahahn, you guys. Is the girl that bad ni.' I asked.' Terrible' they both roared at the same time and I laughed more.' She'll now be talking like one pepeye(peacock)." Em... you guys should like help me like buy that em.." very irritating thing. She thinks stammering and putting "em" and "like" in everything she's saying is fresh. Tufiakwa(God forbid).' Anulika said rolling her eyes and saying everything in emphasis with a false girly accent and we all laughed. 'The most irritating part is that I dont know what she gave my bestie to eat that he's always with her. Cant you see he has gone?' Fiyin said and suddenly I didn't feel like laughing again. Jealous much. Suddenly Jidenna came in with a smile.' Oh how is Esosa' Fiyin asked sarcastically, ' she's good. She said I should greet you and Anulika' Jidenna said and Fiyin gave a fake smile while Anulika didnt pretend because she hissed before rolling her eyes. When I finally met Jidenna's eyes,he smirked like he was teasing me and the teacher entered the class.

A/n short chapter,sorry I know. So Esosa is back. We are getting to a bit drama.  I hope Kaima doesn't kill someone°~°.
Is Jidenna not a total darl with Osewhe.
