It seemed like hours that I stood there crying and hugging Jidenna. At first he seemed surprised but later he started patting my back. His scent filled my nostrils so I just shut my eyes and thought of something else." It's alright now, " I heard his voice and pulled away. "Are you ok." He asked and I nodded. "Ty is an idiot." Jidenna murmured after a minute of silence. "I didnt do it.." I whispered and he nodded. "What..er happened with your maths teacher that someone would raise a rumour like that"
" he was a corper and the only young male teacher , twenty four I think , in the school so naturally he had some admirers among the students ." I said and sniffed." Were you part of them, I mean did you admire him too." Jidenna asked." I respected him as my teacher and acknowledged that he was no doubt the most handsome maths teacher I'd met." I said and heard Jidenna snort. Typical him. " After the first class, some girl joked that he couldnt keep his eyes off me but I ignored her. Later he made me his maths captain, thats when he'd ask me to wait after class or come to his office and he'd start touching me in the wrong places." I saw Jidenna clench his fist at that. "I was irritated and scared to tell anyone. When I tried telling my friend, she said I should be glad and she wished we could switch places. I started missing maths class so I could avoid him so I started to hate maths. One day my classteacher got to know and she told on me to him and that day when he called me to his office..." I paused when I realised Jidenna was gripping my hand tightly in his. "He said he'd increase my scores in my maths results because I was already failing if I slept with him" I said, " did you... did you sleep with.." Jidenna whispered." No!! I didnt . Ive always had hopes for my first time to be special" I shouted and suddenly felt embarrassed. This is Jidenna not Anulika that I was talking to about the first time I'd have sex. " oh em..sorry." Jidenna murmured nervously." I tried to leave but he held me begging me. He didnt want to rape me but he wanted to seduce me. He held me under him rubbing his crotch against me while I struggled. He kept doing that till my friend came in and saw us that way. He released me and I had to find my friend to explain to her but she was jealous and she told everyone, I had been fucking our maths teacher. When the rumours spread so much, I had to leave the school and I came here" I finished saying and realised Jidenna was looking so angry that his white skin turned red." What a fucking pedophile and son of a bitch." Jidenna hissed and silence fell." I sorry you had to face that." Jidenna whispered patting my shoulder. " what I dont get is how someone here would do that to me, except they hate but I won't be surprised that someone hates me so much because you hate me and I havent done anything to you." I sigh." I dont hate you." Jidenna said sadly. " but you dont like me either." I said and he sighed. "I..." he began but Anulika's shrill voice interrupted. "My God , Kaima , I've been looking for you." She said coming with Fiyin both looking all sober." Are you okay. We're really sorry. We heard the rumours buh we didn't believe and we couldnt tell you, we didnt want you getting hurt. Ty is a fool. We are really sorry." Fiyin said." Im sorry Kaima, even if you dont forgive Fiyin , forgive me." Anulika said ." Ahnahn guy." Fiyin stared at her in horror. " what? Who came up with the idea that we should play truth or dare." Anulika clicked her tongue at him and I couldn't help smiling. If I wouldn't have friends like them, then I wouldnt need friends at all. " it's okay. Im fine." I said and hugged them. When Fiyin decided to hug me a bit tighter and longer, I heard Jidenna clear his throat. " ehnehn what are you doing here sef." Fiyin asked his bestie." He came to comfort me first." I quickly said he'd not feel awkward. "Oh ok comfort abi.? Wait which type of comforting sef" Fiyin asked and the three of us glared at him." Hmm sorry oo. Dont bite pls." Fiyin raised his hands in defence. " hey let's go. Its time for lunch." Anulika said." Foodie." Fiyin whispered when infact Anulika wasnt a fan of food and he was a big one." Are you mad. See who is talking sef" Anulika said and Fiyin started running while Jidenna and I laughed. He turned and smiled at me. I was happy and sad.happy because this was the longest time I had been so close to Jidenna without him making me sad or angry and I was sad because I knew by tomorrow he'd be back to bieng grumpy annoying and incredibly handsome and unbearable.
