Chapter 4

   The next day,I persuaded my mum to let me go to school myself. And it had everything to do with someone calling me "mummy's girl".
     'Kaima, how was your night'Fiyin asked when I came to class.'fine, where's Anulika? You people finished my data with your status. So compensate me with credit' I  said and Fiyin laughed like I was speaking gibberish. 'Forget Kaima you are funny oh, we are the ones in boarding and yet you are asking is for credit.'fiyin smiled. 'Ehnehn but if you are busy posting pictures of girls that made your night for us to see abi, and somebody will be thinking it is sensible something that you want to post. Anyway I've muted you so' I said smiling and Fiyin looked like he was having a diarrhoea. 'You are mean ohh, maybe Anulika is teaching you her ways.'Fiyin said and Anulika walked in already glaring at Fiyin.'ahh that's the end.' Fiyin said jumping of the desk all ready to run from Anulika's wrath.'Kaima' Anulika hugged me smiling.'hey are we saved? This one that Anulika is hugging someone like this. Kaima doesn't look like Joshua ooh' Fiyin said and this time did not get the chance to run before Anulika punched his shoulder.'that is how you will be punching the poor boy if you guys were dating.'Fiyin grinned and Anulika hissed at him. Just then our greater than thou entered the class talking with some guys but he immediately frowned when he saw me.'this guy has started again. I don tire for am ooh.'Fiyin said and went to meet his best friend. 'Sorry about Jay's childishness. I don't just understand him.'Anulika said worried.'just forget that one. I guess it's time for assembly right.' I said when I heard the electric bell buzz. 'I hate assemblies like crazy . let's just stay in the toilet, nobody will notice.'Anulika said and I shook my head at her.' Let's go joor' I said pushing her outside.
    'See what I said, theyll be saying trash throughout' Anulika grumbled after the assembly and I shook my head at her.
   'I'll be back. I need to use the bathroom.'I said and stood. 'You better be quick before Mr Jimi comes. He likes asking stupid questions sha you'll be disgusted. just hurry up and come to the chemistry lab. I'll take your books for you.'Anulika said and began gathering our things. 
     'Kaima good morning.' Joshua said as I was on the way back to the class and I saw he wasn't alone. 'Kaima' the beautiful fair girl standing beside him.'Lotachukwu' I said with widened eyes and my second cousin hugged me tight laughing. 'I swear, I didn't know you are in the school. What happened with Brighter hope college.' Lota smiled.'Abeg that school is bad news but I don't want to talk about that. How is kene' I asked. 'Ok sorry Joshua, you're looking lost. Kaima is my second cousin.' Lota said when she noticed Joshua's lost expression. 'Wow, beauty lies in the family ooh.'Joshua said smiling.'Kene is fine ooh. he's to be five this Saturday.' Lota said.'okay ooh girls, sorry to cut the gist but we are five minutes late for  class, and Lota and I are having physics.'Joshua said and I checked my watch. 'Ha Mr Folarin's class. he's going to eat us.' Lota said in distress.' Anyway Kaima, I'll see you later.'Lota gave me a little hug and left. 'I walk back to my class forgetting that Anulika has packed  all our things to  the lab but I saw Jidenna was in the class. He threw me a careless glance and continued gathering his books. Let's try this again. I thought.'em good morning.'I said and he ignored me.'so yesterday, when we met along with Fiyin and your other friends, I don't know if you were in a sour mood but you ignored me completely. So I wanted to say hi today.'I said and Jidenna glared at me, then he picked his things and began leaving. 'What  is wrong with you sef, can't you be nice a little. It's not like ive even met you before that you are beefing me.' I blurted, and he stopped walking and turned to face. This guy was definitely the most handsome ive ever seen. 'Do me a huge favour. I know we're in  the same class and house, but as possible as you can,..'he said leaning towards me and I could nothing but stare at his bluish brown eyes.'..stay the fuck away from me.' He said and left the class. Oh my God, this guy  must be...did he just use the f-word to  tell me to stay away from him. What a proud pig.'I mummered to myself angrily. I hissed and walked to the chemistry lab.
     'Good morning sir,'I grumbled ignoring Anulika's annoyed stare. I guess I wasted a lot of time that she had now been paired with Fiyin who was busy  whispering to Jidenna who sat on the table beside him.' Yes how can I help you.'the teacher said smiling. He was definitely a corper. I could tell by the way he looked barely older than us.' I'm for this class. I'm coming from the bathroom.' I said and some people laughed,guessing I was forming posh by calling toilet a bathroom. How unfortunate. 'Really, I've not seen this before.' He said. Can't you just say 'go and sit down' at least I am  wearing the uniform, I wanted to say, but instead I said' I'm new'.' Wow that is very unusual.' Mr Jimi said and I now realised why Anulika is disgusted by him. Too much stupid questions. 'So what is your name.'he asked getting comfortable at the edge of his lab table like he didn't have a class to teach.'Kaima Okoye.'I said almost rolling my eyes.'which  state?' He asked. Shoo see this man ooh,  are we not  here to learn. 'Rivers state' I said looking back and Anulika and Fiyin could see my distress.' Em sir you were talking about ammonia, ' Fiyin interrupted as mr Jimi was about to ask another question. I'm going to kiss Fiyin for that. I smiled. 'Yes okay, Kaima go and sit beside Jidenna.' Mr Jimi said. wait what? 'Sir?' I asked.'is there a problem. I said sit with Jidenna, you both came in  late and everyone else is paired.' Mr Jimi said.'can I switch with Fiyin instead.' I said and turned to see  Jidenna roll his eyes at me. 'You realise we have like thirty minutes more righ' I heard Jidenna say behind me surprising me, and obviously Anulika and Fiyin by their puzzled looks. I walked sadly to the seat beside him.' Fiyin thanks. That man is something else. 'I said and I could almost feel Jidenna roll his eyes.'shey I told you to come quickly, nawa for your own bladder ooh' Anulika said.'sorry, I met my cousin in the hall.' I said.'who..who is your cousin.'Fiyin asked eagerly. 'See him shouting who like a dog' Anulika said and I laughed as Fiyin eyed her.'Lota do you know her.' I asked.'before nko, you think everybody's new like you.' Fiyin said.'Adeosun, careful there.' Mr Jimi said turning back to the board as Fiyin glared at him. 'Such a yansh fly. He did not see you or Anulika, he'll obviously mention the boy' Fiyin whispered annoyed and we giggled. I could see Jidenna looking disgusted by the way we were talking over him because he was the one closer to Fiyin and Anulika. 'Pls Anulika, pass my things.'I said and Mr Jimi was already staring at our side of the class. Anulika dropped it in front of Fiyin who quickly dropped it in front of Jidenna. Obviously no one  was interested in Mr Jimi's mindless chatter. Unfortunately, some people didn't obviously get the pass-Kaima's-things-to-the-person-beside-you glitch because Jidenna just stared at the  things. 'Em Jidenna please pass my things.' I said frowning at him but he completely ignored me.'I'm sorry, can  you please pass me my things that are lying right beside you so I can work too.' I said frustrated. But he ignored me again. Glaring at him, I reach over him to retrieve my things almost falling in the process. Irritating fellow.' Okay now let's do a revision of identifying some compouds. Look at the chemical procedures in page 64 to 68 of your booklets, perform the experiments with your partner and give me the compouds using your test for smell, colour, heat change and so on. I don't want any noise ooh. I'll be back.' Mr Jimi said and left the class.' He's going to meet ms Adaobi. Manwhore' Fiyin said and I widened my eyes at him.'Jidenna didn't seem to be interested in what we were saying. Such a boring  person. I was about picking the ammonium salt when he beat me to it.'ahn what happen to you. I want to do the practical.' I glared at him. 'I'm doing mine first,just in case you want to mess things up.' Jidenna said and I just stared at him.' I believe you heard  Mr Jimi say work with your partner.  unfortunately, I'm the partner and I picked the salt, so better draw your table of value and start recording.' I said and guess what, no surprises. He ignored me. I stared speechless, as he kept mixing the salts. Fine if you can't beat them, join them. I tried bieng the matured one after looking at Anulika and Fiyin, working perfectly fine,and decided to take the recordings. 'Can you at least tell me what you are doing so I can take the recordings before Mr Jimi gets back,the period is almost over.' I said and he sighed like I was a huge pest.'I said it's my project you'll do your when I'm done, do you not understand English.' He groaned.' What the hell is your problem. That's why I didn't want to sit with you. Oh my goodness, you are so annoying. What did I do to you.' I shouted a little louder than I wanted.'oh shit, do you have to be a goddamn attention seeker.' Jidenna shouted back and banged the table so hard, the mixture splashed on my face.
   
                                I kept my promise yaay,  1758 words. Trust me it wasn't easy, and that's probably going to be the longest chapter but drama was to hot. How did you feel about the chapter.
