Chapter 32

     Holiday was BORING , I had fun with my dad but he still had to go to work.  At times like that ,I always wished for a baby sister or brother. Finally, someone's talking when I got a call.  " hey  babe ,whatsup" Bade said and I curled into bed smiling.  Bade invited me to visit him. Not that I liked him but it was nice to have someone makec you feel extra special and I wondered if he'd ask me out soon. That why I was so sngry and slapped  Jidenna at school  for saying what he said. I  still liked him but I had to settle for less  since he had made it his life mission to frustrate my senior year.
      " heeeyooo " I heard a soft little voice when I called Anulika then  I heard shuffling. "Hello babes what's up" Anulika's cheery voice answered. "Sorry , my brother picked, I dont even how he got into my room sha" Anu said and I laughed. "You are so lucky to have full house. Im bored as hell."  I said and I heard more shuffling followed by a baby's cry. " no way,I haven't rested since I  woke up today. Its either Anulika come and feed your brother  or come and cook stew or change diaper.You see why I dread holidays. I cant wait to leave this house tomorrow abeg" she lamented and I laughed more. I remembered Fiyin,  Jidenna, Anulika and I were going to see a movie ,the next day to just have fun. I  couldnt believe I'd see Jidenna outside school. I remembered the day we came home that he kept looking at me even though his parents were talking to him.  His parents looked really young especially his mum who was pregnant. I still have hope of getting a sibling. Jidenna's dad was a white man, handsome like an athlete and Jidenna looked like him a lot while he had no resemblance with his mum who happened to be a black woman and beautiful too. "Kaima!!,  see how you left me to be talking abi." Anulika said cutting me from my thoughts "sorry ,what did you say." I asked." Hope you and Jidenna wont spoil show. You said you haven't spoken to him since." Anulika said and I laughed. "If any trouble starts,he's d one who started it then." I shrugged." Ok oo, I needed to pretend to sleep before my mum comes in. see ya and dont come and kill all the boys at the cinema with that your yansh oo. Fiyin said I  should tell you that. " Anulika laughed and I shook my head. Fiyin is just a mumu

   "Ah thank God, you are here . Your bestie has been frustrating my life. " Fiyin said and Anulika ran to hug whilst glaring at him. Anulika wore a blue tank top and jeans while Fiyin wore a grey tshirt and shorts which he looked good in though . "I thought Anulika delivered my message to you,  yet you still came to murder the boys. "Fiyin joked eyeing my white off shoulder crop top and jeans skirt which happened to a lot shorter than I planned. I looked around and my eyes landed on HIM.   when I thought he couldn't get hotter, Jidenna surprised me . He just stood resting his back on the railing acting like he didn't know like he was the concentration of the whole teenage female populace.  He wore a black and red checked shirt and black jeans and he definitely looked like my favourite snack ,with his amazing curly hair and beautiful skin which by the way, I was glad it was back to normal with    slap marks nearly totally gone. "Kaima dont stare too hard or you might hot your eyes." Fiyin whispered cutting fron my fantasies and I blushed. "What are we watching I said trying to clear the air. "Godzilla bitch or maybe our own enemies" Fiyin shouted." I think you are already crazy ,who is watching horror with you." Anulika hissed ."  Guys calm down let's watch something funny, I guess." I said as I caught Jidenna's on me. "Abeg no Indian or Nigerian movie, I've had  enough. " Fiyin said. "What if I now want to watch Chief daddy hmm." Anulika said and Fiyin sighed. " you guys will not  kill someone. See lets just watch Aladdin or something  hmm.." I said and everybody agreed. " I want to sit with Fiyin!!" Anulika said as we got in the theatre with our popcorn and drinks while Fiyin heaved a frustrated sigh and I giggled. Anulika sat beside Fiyin and so I was between Fiyin and Jidenna. How convenient.  He had been staring at me for so long like he wanted to tell me something.
      "Kai its already late. " Fiyin yawned we came out of the cinema. " how are going to get home, is your dad coming back to pick." Anulika asked holding my hand ." Yeah I guess so,  I'll just call him." I said and pulled out my phone. "Em Kaima, have you noticed, that Jidenna has been staring at you since like you got here. I think he really needs to tell you something." Anulika whispered and we both turned to see him looking at me again. "Maybe u should talk to him. Em Kaima do you still like Jidenna, " Anulika asked and my dad called. "Hello daddy. Where are you." I smiled. " hello sweetheart, how was your movie." Dad asked, "fine , are you coming to pick me, its already six thirty."  I whined and " oh honey. Im still at work it's really busy. A patient was just brought in,I'm getting ready for the surgery  " my dad said and I frowned, "dad!!" I whined."im sorry sweetie, I promise I'll make it up to you ok. I have go now get an uber. I love you " Dad said. "Ok daddy I love you too." I sighed and cut the call. " Something wrong "Anulika asked as Fiyin approached us with Jidenna tagged along staring at his fone. " My dad cant pick me. He has a surgery." I said and Fiyin looked surprised while Jidenna looked up too. " you didnt tell us your dad was sick." Fiyin said sympathetic and I almost laughed while Anulika rolled her eyes. " my dad's is a surgeon." I smiled and Fiyin and even Jidenna surprisingly looked relieved. Yeah my dad was sick but I'd like to think he's better now, "so how are you getting home now." Fiyin asked. "I'll order an uber" I sighed. "Hey mugu, your driver is here." Anulika said and Fiyin just sighed. " Anulika how are you getting home" I asked, " Fiyin, can I catch a ride with you." Anulika put on the sweetest smile and puppy eyes making me laugh while Fiyin just smiled nodding.  "Maybe you and Jidenna should go together in the uber, besides you know it's dangerous at night." Anulika said and I wanted to protest." Yhh good idea. You know Kaima is even too fine. Before they will kidnap her now" Fiyin said and I glared at him." Ok fine, you're keeping your driver waiting"  Jidenna finally spoke up surprising me"Ok see ya mehn and you too Mela." Fiyin said giving Jidenna a fist bump." Dont try anything on my bestie." I whispered when I hugged him." Cant promise you that" he laughed and left me to hug Anulika while he whispered something to Jidenna to which he responded by punching Fiyin who was laughing hysterically.  "Are you going to be ok with him alone. I mean he looks really hot today. I even saw two girls talking about him and even taking his picture when he was not looking. really shallow right." Anulika said ." Why did you suggest we go together then." I asked and she pouted." Not going to work on me sister.  Look Fiyin is ready. Bye." I said and hugged herr again and she ran to Jidenna to hug him before running to hold Fiyin's arm like she was his girlfriend and I must say she did look good in his arm. " we should go outside to wait for your uber." I nearly jumped when I heard that deep sexy voice behind me. "Ok sure" I said and I could almost hear him laugh
