Chapter 35

       "Babes what the hell was that . You didnt tell me , you and Fiyin kissed.  " I questioned Anulika as soon as we got to the hostel and she went straight up to changing her clothes, A normal Anu would rather run around the room searching for sometimes non existing gist before deciding to have her bath and washing up. "I dunno ,see Kay I dont wanna talk about it. Cant you see how embarrassing it is " Joshua didnt have to confront him in front of everyone and those things,  Fiyin said just embarrassed me. I dont want to talk about it sef. " she said and continued packing her clothes into her bucket and walked to the bathroom just as her fone rang showing Fiyin's caller id. "Em he's calling." I said and she turned. "Joshua?" She sighed obviously expecting her boyfriend's call first. " no babe it's Fiyin" I said and she sighed.  "See just leave it " she said and walked back inside.
      "Em pls im looking for senior Kaima ," one junior came to my room while Anulika and I sat on my bed as I helped her loosen her hair." Yes what happened," I asked " oh senior Fiyin said I should tell you that senior Jidenna is waiting for you." The Junior said and I nodded for her to go." Are you going to come along."  I asked buh she shook her head and pulled my blanket over her head.
          "Hey wassup, where Jidenna, " I asked Fiyin when I got to the court and met him sitting gloomily on one of the benches.  "He's em in the hostel ,he'll soon be here, I was the one that called you here actually.  Is Anulika going to come around too." He asked and I shook my head before he sighed, " I know I embarrassed her. I shouldn't have said those things. But I really like her,it just irritates me a lot to see her with that asshole but she's  the one that dumped me..." Fiyin murmured more to himself than to me.  "Oh ,but you could at least try to talk to her about it. You should have said something when she was still with Tobe, at least everyone knew she didn't even like him." I said and he looked at me as a tiny tear rolled down which he quickly and violently rubbed off." Fiyin its fine. " I smiled and hugged him. "Im not crying, dudes dont cry." He laughed when we separated as Jidenna jogged up to us. "Hey, sorry im late" he said with a smile to me and my heart did a flip.  " hey dude, I think ill take it from here." Jidenna said to Fiyin who just rolled his eyes at him." You had better take what's yours before you loose it" Fiyin murmured to Jidenna who froze before Fiyin waved at me and jogged away. " so lets start ey" Jidenna said awkwardly and tossed the ball to me.
           " Hey babes,  can I borrow your  physics textbook. Mine is in the hostel." I asked Anulika during night prep . Mrs Laurels decided prep was better in class than hostel." Sure check my bag." She said she didn't want to sit anywhere near Fiyin ,so she switched seat with Vanessa who was at the far end of the class. I went to her seat and pulled her physics textbook that happened to be drag a white and pink nylon bag with it. " What the fuck is that" Anulika murmured and I stared at her." Its your bag. So I should ask you." I whispered as few eyes began to turn to us." I dont know I left my bag in class before going to dinner and I havent even opened it since I got in." She whispered back. " mayb its from Joshua." She whispered unsure and I looked around class to find Jidenna staring into my soul if there was something like that while Fiyin was purposely looking away. " lets keep it back and check it in hostel,  some nosy people are staring already. " I said and she nodded before I hurried to my seat forgetting the physics textbook.  " oh shit, maybe ill just read chemistry" I said to myself again to see Jidenna's piercing eyes on me.
       " so whats in it . I asked Anulika as soon I got to the hostel and rushed to her room and she quietly pulled a small white teddy which had 'I'm sorry' inscribed a heart in its middle." Its from Fiyin" she said and threw the teddy  across the room. "Anulika!!" I shouted surprised. " Im so fucking confused at the moment. Joshua hasn't even sent a text, let alone apologised while my ex boyfriend has been flooding my phone and locker with apologies. " then there's nothing to be confused about.  Fiyin obviously loves you more." I said as she went to pick the teddy and started petting it like she wasnt the one who just  threw it.  "How am I sure he doesn't want to just chop and clean mouth (use and dump her)." Anulika whispered " Anu..." I sighed . " what nah,  he's like that" She pouted and I rubbed my forehead. "Ok ahh, aunty relationship expert. Im just waiting for that boy to ask you out." She cuddled the teddy smiling coyly. "What boy" . " did I say anything.  Abeg enough boy boy gist ,lets read." she smiled holding the teddy so tightly, that I felt sorry for Joshua.

    "Hey Kaima are you less busy " Lota entered the roim, few minutes to lights out. "Yes buh its looks like you've been really busy." I winked at her noticing her disarranged look and she turned red. "Kaima shit, ure a bitch sha." She turned away blushing hard while I laughed. " buh seriously tho, are you still into Jidenna. Like really into him." She asked and I smiled a little.  "Why are you asking me that." I asked. " oh shit , answer the question. " Lota shouted. " gee yes,  enough with the cursing. "  I said  " does he know.  I mean does Jidenna know you're in love with him."she asked again. " except one of you told him. Then I guess not. What's with the questions anyway." I asked still smiling anyways. "Oh shit...em I heard them talking, Jidenna and Esosa, I mean. He was calm and she was crying. Um yunno she wasnt well and she went home for a check up... oh fuck how do I say this, from what I heard them talking about... so Esosa is pregnant. "
