It's been a week.

A long, slow and painful week.

I tried not to look at Mrs. White anymore unless she called on me for a question. Even then, I didn't make direct eye contact with her. I just glanced at her then looked somewhere else.

Kaylee has been asking me what was wrong, but every time I tell her the same thing; nothing.

I kind of want to tell her but then again I don't want to even mention anything. The thought makes my heart and head start hurting and it's frustrating.

I thought this crush was just an innocent one. It turns out that it was a little more on the dangerous side than innocent.

When I found out that she had a family, it hurt. But then I thought about how I was in over my head about this whole thing anyways.

I wouldn't do anything to purposely mess up her life when she has a great one.

There was no way that Mrs. White liked me the way I liked her. Sure, she liked me as a student but nothing more.

Now that I know she has a family, I couldn't like her the way I did.

All throughout the week, I caught Mrs. White stealing glances at me but I tried to ignore them as much as I could. I knew she was staring at me because every time I would glance towards her, she would move her head quick enough for me to not notice.

Why is she staring at me in class?

I never did once want to find out because as soon as class was over, I was out the door in a heartbeat.

Staying around her makes everything a little worse than what it was before.

I'm definitely out of my mind.

It was the weekend, and all I could think about was Mrs. White. I groan as I got up and decided to go for a walk to clear my head.

I grabbed my keys and made sure to lock the door behind me as I walked out. I looked around the parking lot then walked down the sidewalk next to the main road.

It was still morning, but it was closer to noon. It wasn't hot, but the sun was shinning to where there was a little heat, but it wasn't bad.

I looked around as I was walking and watched all the cars go by, and looked at the houses when I walked in front of them. It's crazy to think that everyone behind those closed doors has secrets that they never reveal or anything that nobody knows about.

I tried to keep my mind occupied as I just enjoyed the world around me.

I was looking across the street when a car went by, but as I watched the car, I noticed that it had began to slow down and eventually stopped not too far from where I was.

I stopped also and wondered if I should turn around or just ignore them and keep going. I didn't have to think much about it as the car started backing up and soon was next to me.

The passenger window rolled down and I looked inside the car to see Mrs. White staring at me. "Hi Dakota."

"Mrs. White? What are you doing?" I asked clearly confused.

"I saw that you were walking and was wondering if you needed a ride somewhere."

I stared at her for a moment. "No. I'm just walking down the street. Thanks though." I said as I started walking away.

"Wait!" I watched as she pulled up next to me again. "I know this must be strange, but I was just on my way to get some coffee and maybe something to eat. Would you like to join?"
