By the time classes were all over, some people were starting to leave as others were staying behind. I couldn't understand why since it was the first day, and it wasn't like they had work.
Unless their instructor was a total bitch.
I walked out to the parking lot to my car, and started to look around for Kaylee. When I didn't see her, I realized that she must have left early since she did tell me that she only had three classes today.
I got into my car and placed my backpack over in the passenger seat. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the paper Kaylee gave me to see her address.
As I placed the paper on the steering wheel, I took out my phone and typed the address in GPS. It took a second to load, then it popped up and I saw that it was only about thirty minutes away from here.
I started the car then placed my phone to where I can see it so I'd know exactly where to go.
It didn't take long as I was pulling up to a house then stopped the car in the driveway. I looked down at the paper to make sure this was the right address. I looked over to the address on the house then smiled as I was at the right place.
I got out and saw Kaylee's car parked in the driveway as well as another car, which I'm guessing was her moms car.
I walked to the front door and knocked. I looked around as I stood there waiting and I could hear loud footsteps from inside the house.
When I heard them stop, I saw the door swing open and Kaylee smiled at me. "Hey!"
"Hey." I said as she motioned for me to walk inside. I looked around her house as we started walking further in. "I like your house."
"Thank you." Kaylee said as I was following her. "My mom is in the living room."
We walked into the living room and I saw a woman sitting on the couch with a book in her hands. When we stepped further in, she looked up at us.
"Mom, this is Dakota. She's in one of my classes."
Her mom smiles at me then stands up to shake my hand. "It's nice to meet you."
"You too. I think I was in one of your classes before."
She nods as she stares at me. "I believe so. But I can hardly remember." She chuckles. "I'm becoming old age."
"We all get there." I smile at her.
She smiles back at me. "So, what are you two up to?" She says as she sits back on the couch. "Would you like something to drink?"
I shook my head. "No ma'am."
"I just brought her over so we could hang out." Kaylee looks over at me.
I nod. "Of course." I smile.
Her moms smiles at her. "Well, have fun. If you need anything, you're welcome to it."
I smile as I heard Kaylee tell me to follow her into the kitchen. I look around then saw Kaylee walk towards me with a bottle of water.
"So, what do you think of my mom?"
I watch as she took a sip from her bottle. "I've seen her before, Kaylee." I chuckle. "I think she's pretty cool, why?"
She shrugs. "Just wondering. A lot of people call her.." She pauses for a moment. "difficult."
I lean back on the counter. "And why is that?"
"Who knows?" She says as she took another sip.
I watch her for a moment. "You're lying. You just won't tell me."
