"Ugh, where the hell are my jeans," I yell throwing clothes behind me. I'm being forced to go to some family thing.

"Maybe, you should wear a dress," my mum calls. I roll my eyes and keep searching through my drawers. I finally find the right pair and slide them on. I take out my Black Parade shirt and walk out of my room.

My mum gives me a weird look as I sit on the couch. Apparently she doesn't like my style. No one really does though, so you get used to it. "What happened to that dress?"

"I didn't want to wear one, I don't like how it feels," I explain turning off the news. She just turns back and works on the food she's preparing.

I take my phone out and start talking,"so, I've been looking at apartments," I say casually, "there near the university I wanna go to." I think my mum got at how fast she turned around.
"You! Wanna move out?"

"Well, yeah, I'm old enough and I wanna feel independent." 'Oh' is all I hear from her.

Soon she's pushing me out the door carrying some pan of food that I probably don't like. I don't like much so it's a safe bet I might have a couple crackers tonight.

"I know it's late but could I invite Milla, her house is on the way?" I ask. Mum nods and I text Milla to ask.

"Is it a yes?" Mum asks a few minutes later. I nod and we pull up into a driveway. I see my blonde haired friend come running out and jump in the car.

She catches her breath for a minute, holding her chest.

"I have something important to tell you," Milla says.
