The night had been absolutely amazing!  The band rocked and I was super pumped that we talked to some new people.  I wish it could have lasted longer, though.  The concert didn't end too late and I tried to persuade Nat to take us to get some food or something but she said no.  The woman likes her sleep.

I saunter to my bedroom and open up Netflix.  I should be trying to get some sleep but then again I never sleep.  I think I take after my grandma, how she never sleeps and watches television.  Only I don't get crabby like her.

I watch some season 4 episodes of The Vampire Diaries.  Then all of the sudden the internet shuts down.  All the lights in the house shut off simultaneously.

"AGG SHIT WHO PUT THAT THERE."  I hear Nat yell from the hallway and chuckle slightly.  I try to get my computer to turn on.

"No! This cannot be happening, not tonight!"  I shake my laptop up and down to try to fix it.

Then, the worst possible thing to think about in the dark popped into my head.  Poltergeist.  "DAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD...WHAT HAPPENED?"  I yell downstairs.  I grab my flashlight and shine it around my room to check all the dark corners and such.

"The power just went out, I haven't had a chance to fix it since we moved.  You'll be fine just go to bed."  I groan out loud and plop down to lay on my bed.

I can't sleep so I grab all my blankets off my bed and sprint to Nat's room.  I trip coming down the hallway and I let out a weird yelp sound.  I was sprawled out on the floor now.  Nat opens her door and whisper yells, "What are you doing Kali?"

I start to laugh and cry at the same time.  "I think I broke something when I fell.  I don't know if it was part of the house or on my body but I heard a snap."  I put my face on on the wooden floorboards and groan a little.

"Well get up."  She stares at me then walks back to her room.  Ugh no help. Thanks.  I crawl my way to her bedroom and jump on it.

"What are you doing?"  She looks up from her book she was reading with a flashlight.

"Sorry vampires, sexy hybrids, and werewolfs got me creeped out."  I sit at the end of her bed holding three of my stuffed animals.

"OHH do NOT spoil anything I am not caught up!"  She glares and points a finger at me and we both laugh.

I sigh.  "Is your phone charged?  We could listen to music?"

"Right now?  It's like past two or something, I don't even know.  Anyways, no, I wish I had battery though.  I filmed and took so many pictures of the concert.  And the stupid power had to go out tonight out of any nights."  She closed the book she was reading with a flashlight.

Nat broke the awkward silence by saying,  "I'm happy we met some Aussies at the concert.  They seemed cool."

"Yeah and they were our age.  Maybe we'll see them at school."  They were the first people we met here and seemed pretty nice.

We talked about random stuff for a little bit when Dylan came into the room.

"Hey Dylan what's up?"  I pat the empty space next to me telling him to come sit down.   He walked over toward me with his small stuffed bear and his blanky.

"I got scared and wanted to have a sleepover with Nat."

"Aww you can stay with me Dylan!  Kali, get on the floor."  She motioned for me with a bossy snap to get on the floor to sleep.

I throw my hands in the air.  "What?!  That's not fair!"

Nat shrugs.  "Hey, I'm always down for a sleepover."

I groan.  I get off her bed and plop down so I can face them.  I then lay on the cold floor with only my thin blankets and a pillow.  This sucks.  I could hear them making puppet shadow with the flashlight and their hands.  I felt too left out and angry to join them so I make snoring noises.

"Look, Nat, I think she's sleeping!"  I could feel the floor creak when Dylan got off the bed to come over to me.  Ugh this better not turn into a prank.

"We should scare her!"  Oops, spoke too soon.  I could feel them creep over toward me.  I don't think they realise that it's 2:00am.  The child should be sleeping.

"Ok, ready, on the count of three, yell BOO!"  I could feel them getting closer.

    "One... two..."  Nat counted.

"BOOOOOOOO!"  I flip around and scare them.  Nat falls on the floor laughing and Dylan runs behind Nats dresser.

She starts laughing hysterically.  "I knew you were going to do that!"  She was rolling on the floor now laughing.

"Dylan come here."  I motioned with my hands for him to come back over.

He runs over to Nat's bed and scrambles under her covers.  Nat retreats from the floor and joins Dylan.  They eventually fall asleep.  All what I can think about is school.  It's in about a couple days and I'm not prepared at all.
