I surf a wave while Nat talks to Milla about random things while watching me closer to shore. I'm having a really fun time today. Normally when I go surfing, it's just me and my dad. Today though, I'm with three other people which is awesome!
I'm in my glory when I hear Milla scream, "GINNA!" I glance over quickly at a turned upside down board in the water out to my right.
Immediately, I bail into the water and swim over to Ginna, who has now reached the surface.
"Oh my gosh are you ok?" Milla and I take the leash off her ankle for her.
She coughs up some water and gets a good hold of the board. "I saw Michael." She points to a dock that has a Michael, Luke, and Calum next to it in the water.
"No way." Milla stares at them and starts to swim over to the shore.
"I hate to be that person, but it is a public beach," Nat shrugs. We all giver her looks. "But since it's them, well, there's nothing to do but go confront them!?"
When I looked up to the shore, Milla was already basically there, storming out of the water. "You know, I might go and stand with Milla up there." Milla can get a little crazy sometimes.
I wave goodbye to the other girls and grab my board, swimming toward the shore. "Milla wait!"
The girl stands cross armed on the shore tapping her foot, waiting for me to reach her.
I stumble out of the water and run next to her side. "I was thinking we could be more rational about this, since we are only in bikinis and are vulnerable to their creepy stares."
Milla looked confused. "What? They messed around with my friend today, and now they could be stalking us," she waits for me to wring my hair out before we start walking over to the dock. "Them staring would only fuel my anger towards them."
There was no way I was going to be able to stop this.

Milla leads me up to the dock, me following shortly behind with my surfboard under arm.
"Great. Here she comes." I hear Luke mutter from his position sitting down at a picnic table next to Ashton and Calum.
"What are you guys doing here," Milla growled.
"Uh, can't we have some fun at a beach?" Ashton turn around to face us.
"You aren't even in the water, just sitting on that picnic table watching us like a couple of creepy dads. And no. We thought you were stalking us or something." Milla says. I start to smile a bit at what she said.
That seemed to get to them. They all sat up a little straighter and turn to face us fully. "No. We aren't stalking you, we just wanted to swim." Ashton says again.
"I see," she starts, "except the only problem is that my friend gets highly triggered by the boy laying in the water over there," we all look and see Michael laying half in the water on the beach like a beached whale, "and he made my friend fall off her board."
Luke frowns. "We're sorry-"
"No, no. Not you, don't talk." She turned her attention back to Ashton. "Michael's going to apologize."
Dang. I never realized how tough Milla actually was! She just held her own talking to Ashton up there. Maybe I wouldn't say anything and just let Milla do all the talking.
"Did you hear that, baldy? Go apologize to G," Milla yells over her shoulder towards the boy in the water.
Michael blindly takes off his sunglasses and sits up, sand falling off of his back as he does.
"Michael, just apologize, please," Calum begs. "I want to go home."
"Great idea, Calum, let's leave" Ashton announced, particularly to Milla. "We'll be leaving now. Excuse us. Michael, dry off."
"Hey! No, Michael, sit," Milla pointed to him without even having to look. "Ashton. A word?"
Oh god. They were going to fight. I could just feel it.
The two went off along the beach and bickered the entire walk down there. Michael eventually got all the way up and walked up to us.
It was awkward. Michael just kind of stared at me, probably wanting me to leave, but there was nowhere else to go.
"Something you're waiting for, Kali?" Calum tilted his head and raised his eyebrows, waiting for a response.
His dark brown orbs were just burning into my skin, I could feel it. "Uh, no, I don't think-"
"Hey, do you think I should just walk out into the water? Or should I wait until she comes back into shore?" Michael must not have been able to wait any longer and interrupted me.
"Swim, Mikey," Luke told him. "It'll be faster that way."
Calum shook his head. "No, he can't swim, he'll die out there-"
I cleared my throat. "I think it would be best if you went out there to her. It would show her that you're not lazy and actually care enough about her."
They all looked surprised to hear me speak.
Nodding, Michael started to loosen up and bit, shaking his arms as if he was getting pumped up for a fight or something. "Alright. I can do this. It's only been a few years since we actually talked normally, but it's all good, right?" He looks to his two friends for support.
"Heck yeah brother!"
"Just don't drown out there, because I'm already dry and I don't want to drag you out to shore," Calum mentioned. "But good luck."
I chuckle at Calum's attempt to hype up his friend. And he must have noticed, too, because he made eye contact with me before I looked away.
Running out to the water, we all watched Michael head out to the three other girls still in the water. Hopefully this will work. I don't really know the backstory to the two, but I really hope they can work things out.
