Relationship status: married

Rye's POV.
I had five minutes before my class started and no students had shown up yet. However, the music teacher, also known as my husband, decided to drop in.

"Hey, Mr Beaumont," he came in the classroom smiling widely at me.

"Hi, Mr Fowler, how are you?" I ask even though I saw him this morning. "Is your husband still being annoying?"

"Always," he smiles cheekily at me and sits down on my desk in front of me.

I looked at the door to make sure no one would see us, before kissing him quickly. No students knew about our marriage. Not that we were ashamed, more that it was a fun game we played. Just to see how long we could keep sneaking around before they noticed. Two years going strong.

"When does your next lesson start?" I asked as I stood up and greeting the first couple of students entering the classroom.

"Not for a while, can I stay? I would like to see how you teach you Spanish classes." He gives me a unnecessary pleading look; I would have said yes anyway. I laugh lightly and nod.

"Good morning, Mr Beaumont. Mr Fowler, what are you doing here?" Carly asks as she came in the classroom.

"Well I wanted to see how this loser teaches," I shove him playfully as Carly laughs, him hardly moving.

"Shut up, Fowler!" I say teasingly. Carly goes to find her seat, leaving us to bicker happily at the front of the classroom as more students arrive.

"So guys today we have a guest, Mr Fowler. He is here so he can learn to teach properly," Andy pretends to be offended by my words. Most of the students laugh as they know him from Music class.

"Now, your presentations are next lesson. You have today's lesson to prepare in anyway you like; you want to practice in front of a friend or continue writing it, that's up to you. Any questions? Great, raise you hand if you have any questions. Get started!" I smile smugly at Andy because I don't actually have to do anything today, as they have been working on their presentations for a week now.

"Wait you didn't think I would do anything, did you?" I say incredulously sitting back at my desk. "Those who can't do, teach."

"You are a real pain Beaumont, here I was expecting some next level teaching and this is what I see," he sighs exaggeratedly. "Your husband is going to be so disappointed in you," he says looking serious for about half a second before his mouth twitches.

"Don't worry he already is," I say pretending to be sad about this. "Something about the bedroom-" he shushes me looking around hoping no one would have heard.

"-being the wrong colour," I fill in smugly. "Yeah something about the wallpaper really pisses him off."

"Rye...oh my god." He exhales dramatically as I snicker turns away from him.

"Hey, Tam. What's up?" I ask the teenager approaching my desk.

A blond girl with green eyes was stood in front of my desk having just walked up from the front row.

"Um I was just wondering about the presentations did you say- why are you holding his hand? Won't your wife be mad?" I look down at our entangled hand only now realising that they were.

"Who?" I ask Tamera.

"Your wife!"

"I don't have one," I say still wanting to play around with these poor kids minds.

"Then why do you have a wedding ring?" Tam said this like I was trapped and would have to admit my lie and tell her that I indeed had a wife, which I didn't.

"Sorry And, can't touch you. Tam here says 'my wife' will be mad," I shrug at him letting go of his hand.

"Is that all I was to you another marriage?" Andy says desperately. His acting not very well pulled off, but what am I supposed to do?

"Eh what?" Tam said looking at Andy who was now laying across my desk, the back of his hand resting on his forehead dramatically.

"Yep, one of my seven - oh no, sorry, eight as of last week," I say nodding knowingly.

"You two are married?" Tam exclaims.

It had been an interesting day as all the students found out. I didn't mind, I knew they would eventually. It was kind of fun to see the realisation hit their faces. Some of them had been at the school longer than we had, and they hadn't known for all that time.

"Rye!"

"Yeah, what?" I call back up stairs. Really we are so lazy we can't even move to talk to each other.

"You were right!"

"About what?" I reply, this could mean a lot of things really.

"This wallpaper really does piss me off," I can practically hear his smirk.

Oh, he's begging for it.
