Andy was usually the last person who would willingly go to the cinema for a horror movie, but when Rye made the proposal for the bet, he couldn't turn it down. If he won, he got free ice cream, and if he lost his boyfriend did. The prize was that the other had to buy a giant ice cream sundae for the other after the film. What could he say? He likes ice cream. All he had to do now was not to be scared and hide in Rye's arms during the horror movie. The blond wasn't even quite sure what it was called, probably blood-killer-zombie-drunk-night-chainsaw-lullaby 3, or some shit like that.

Rye came into the cinema finding his lover after a quick glance over the theatre.

"You ready to lose, babe?" He asked in a cute voice as he sat down on Andy's left with popcorn in his hands.

"No, I think I'll let you," Andy replied, keeping his relaxed face on. On the inside, he was almost certain he would lose. Nevertheless, he would never admit defeat.

"Ladies first," Rye countered as he laced their fingers together.

Andy shook his head. He knew that they were here because Rye had wanted to see this film and to feed Rye's ego. Under the surface, or pretty much everywhere, Rye loved to take care of Andy. The older man didn't mind much, he just wanted free ice cream. So he set his mind on enjoying the movie. To look beyond the possible, axe murders, haunted houses, and creepy music(he really had no clue what they were about to watch), which usually took his undivided attention and instead think of it as very separate to his life.

They looked at each other and a calm set over Andy, whatever he needed to do to win.

The lights dimmed in the theatre, and the games begin.

Andy actually found that it wasn't so bad, most of the jump scares weren't too bad if you listened to the music. He was very proud when everyone in the theatre - Rye included - jumped back gasping when he didn't even flinch(come on the music made it obvious STOP JUMPING). As the story unfolded, he understood the characters and their choices(besides splitting up in the dark, creepy house - like come on what the fuck!). He decided that he quite liked it, it was way more enjoyable than when he wasn't looking or in Rye's chest - which isn't bad to be fair.

As the film went on, it got better, this time not because of what was happening on the screen but rather what it did to Rye. His always oh so cool boyfriend(cough), who was now clutching his hand with his body turned toward Andy. Only his head tilted slightly towards the screen. Murmuring under his breath things like bloody hell; shit shit shit; why the fuck, and a returning classic: no no no.

Andy understood why Rye love it so much to hold him when he was scared. It made Andy feel more in control when he was comforting someone else. So he didn't mind the hands clutching at his shirt.

"How were you so cool the entire time?" They were on their way down to the exit.

"Well, I wanted to win," he looks over at Rye deciding that this is an excellent time to be a little shit. "And I mean it wasn't that scary, most of it was very predictable."

"Fuck off."

"Aww, you were so cute, all scared," Andy goes to stroke Rye's cheek in a very patronising way, his hand is, however, slapped away by a very salty Rye. He too wasn't a fan of losing, and he had been sure this would be a safe bet.

"Still owe me ice cream, babe," Andy says as Rye makes to head towards the car.

A groan leaves Rye's lips when Andy starts tugging at his sleeve.

"Fine."

"Give me a kiss," Andy demands before moving. He puckers his lips wanting to feel Rye's against his. Even though he knows that Rye's clearly playing mad, he just wants to make sure. This time a much softer sigh leave Rye's lips, he really can't deny the boy what he wants. Thus, he leans in kissing Andy softly. When they part, there is no trace of anything but joy, playful or otherwise.

Hope you liked this OS! It was really a lot of fun to write.

I have a very special story in the works, I'm hoping it will turn out amazing, it is an extraordinary request from tama162. It's on its way, slowly. It just needs more research than most of my OS's.

Rock on!
