Chapter Seventeen - Warm Water

Chapter Seventeen-

        After Austin and I get settled in I make us steak for dinner with sweet peas and mashed potatoes. We sit down at the dining room table and start eating,

        "So have you thought about getting a job somewhere over here?" He asks me, smiling.

I blush, "Yeah.. I think I wanna work at Envy." I used to dye my hair all the time before the outbreak. Each month or two I would have to change it a different color or else i would go crazy. I also have cut my own hair before.

        "Good choice." He smiles, "I heard that place is always busy.."

        "How about you, baby?" I giggle.

        He looks at me and eat a bite of mashed potatoes, "Eh.. I was thinking on working at the Petshop. I love animals and I think it's awesome that they actually have pets for sale here, I was thinking about getting a puppy for us."

        "Sounds perfect." I smile broader and finish my dinner, "Shower later?" I wink.

He smirks, "Absolutely."

        I put my plate and glass in the dishwasher and go upstairs with Austin. I finally feel normal again. Ever since the outbreak things have been so tense on everybody nobody has had time to just sit back and relax and enjoy life again.. It feels amazing. Maybe Crawford is the best place in the world right now... they all seem so laid back and they are all able to enjoy life no matter what. That's the life I envied for, for a month now. Maybe I'm getting my wish. Things will never be the same again. But atleast we're close to what it used to be.

        Me and Austin walk up the stairs and get undressed. I first take off my belt and throw it aside, then my shirt, then my socks and then my pants and boxers. So does he. Then he turns on the warm water and he slides into the shower and offers me his hand. His face glows with happiness and I can't help but take his hand and slide in as well. We close the sliding shower door and I let the water rain onto me. I put my hands against his chest and move them slowly to his back. He smiles and holds my waist. He wets his hair and slowly cranes his neck towards my lips and kisses me passionately. At first I hesitate. Then I give in and it turns more into a make out session than a kiss. His lips taste so good.. fruity like gummy bears but soft like marshmellow fluff. Then he start to lower his hands to my hips than slowly slide them back. Then it happens. And I loved it.

        When we're done we towel dry ourselves off. I walk into the master bedroom and to the black and dresser, I look into it and find some nice comfortable sweats to wear to sleep. I'm going to go apply at Envy's tomorrow so I wanna look my best for it. Obviously it's my first job i've had so I'm pretty nervous. Austin crawls into bed with me in the nude and cuddles me tightly,

        "I love you.." He smiles.

I giggle and blush, "I love you too." I then turn off the nightstand lamp and let myself melt into his arms.

        The next morning I wake up at about 10 o'clock. My interview is at twelve and Austin has already made breakfast for us downstairs. He's in his blue plaid boxers flipping pancakes on a skillet. I blush and chuckle gently, "Goodmorning sir." I coo.

        "Goodmorning babe!" He smiles brightly.

        Breakfast is then placed on the table and I gobble it up quickly. "Thanks so much baby!" I kiss him gently and run upstairs, Flatiron my curly hair and style it. Then put on black skinny jeans and a nice black tailored shirt, then nice black converses, When I was little, my mom used to always wear all black when she was styling hair at a salon she was working at. So I do the same and I tuck my "credit" card into my pocket and start off on the short walk it takes to get from Housing Unit B to Envy.
